Fox News continues to upset its core audience by doing things that, well, don’t make a whole lot of sense when you’re a right-of-center news organization. Like, for example, cutting a live feed because a man is sporting a Trump flag. The tag line for Fox is “fair and balanced.” Censoring someone for supporting the former president of our country in his reelection campaign kind of feels like the opposite of that, don’t you agree?
A report from Trending Politics News revealed that the incident took place as Fox was providing coverage of the aftermath of Hurricane Francie. The horrendous storm had finally weakened some to a tropical depression, however, high winds and heavy rainfall were still pummeling the city of Morgan City, Louisiana.
The live broadcast featured a Fox Weather reporter on the ground, providing updates on the storm’s impact. As the reporter spoke to the anchor back in the studio, a man waving a large Trump flag suddenly appeared in the background, shouting inaudibly over the sound of the wind and rain. Without addressing the interruption, the reporter quickly tried to cover the camera lens with his hand and informed the studio, “We’re gonna have to throw it back to the studio.” The network immediately cut away from the scene, sparking backlash on social media.
Critics accused Fox News of censoring the Trump supporter, with viewers expressing their frustration over the network’s reluctance to show the scene. Many took to social media to voice their displeasure, calling it an attempt to silence a pro-Trump message during the live broadcast.

Yeah but I’m still wondering if he was a liberal or just wanted to keep politics off of it

Wonder what would have happened if he was carrying a Kamala, BLM or Hamas Flag.

This is the kind of thing I totally expect to see when I flip the channel over to CNN, ABC News, or MSNBC. I know what you’re thinking. Why would anyone watch those channels to begin with? I’m a masochist. A sadist. Pain is my pleasure.
Anyways…
It’s highly disappointing that Fox would engage in this sort of thing. There are so many mixed signals these days coming out of Fox News that it’s hard to pin down what their values as a company are. Back in the good old days it was clear they leaned to the right, though they had no problem bringing on Democrats and leftists to present their side of an issue.
And that’s how it should be. More of the coverage major news organizations provide us, the viewer, should be facts-only. Imagine how stripped down reading news articles would be. Instead of having to sift through a 3,000 word ramble to get to the actual story in the headline, you would be greeted by the known facts and details right off the bat. A major news outlet should have a lot of that kind of content in order to balance out the analysis and opinions of the pundits they hire.
Just my two cents, which, with the rate of inflation is worth absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things
