Former First Lady Melania Trump doesn’t make public videos and speeches very often these days, so when she does have something to say, it gets out attention. Melania posted a very cryptic video on Tuesday concerning the assassination attempt on her husband, former President Donald Trump, and the impact it had on her. Again, she’s not much of an open book, so her coming out with this clip is worthy of a watch.
According to a report from Trending Politics News, “In a cryptic video, the wife of former President Donald Trump suggested that supporters deserve to hear ‘more to this story’ than has previously been released. Exhaustive investigations by Congress, the FBI, and other authorities continue to search for a motive behind the gunman’s actions and how the Secret Service failed to prevent the July 13th shooting. ‘The attempt to end my husband’s life was a horrible, distressing experience. Now, the silence around it feels heavy,’ she told X followers in a direct-to-camera video released on Tuesday.”
She then posited the question, “I can’t help but wonder, why didn’t law enforcement officials arrest the shooter before the speech? There is definitely more to the story, and we need to uncover the truth.” Many others have asked this very same question. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered concerning the failures of both local law enforcement and the Secret Service to protect Trump from the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, who they had plenty of intel on to make an assessment of him as a threat to the safety of the GOP nominee.
Melania Trump’s video then closes out with a promotion for her upcoming memoir, “Melania,” which has already broken a ton of records a whole month before it is supposed to hit shelves on October 1. The book is going to recount a number of important events in the former first lady’s life, including the first time she met her husband.
Assessments of the shooting and gunman Thomas Crooks have yet to pin down a motive for the attempt on Trump’s life, though investigators have uncovered that the mentally ill 20-year-old was generally pessimistic about American politics. He was a registered Republican but donated recently to a progressive organization. His father, an independent, and mother, a registered Democrat, have cooperated with authorities but shed no further light publicly about what caused their son to fire a rifle at Trump.
Congressional investigators, led by U.S. House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY), have questioned Secret Service Acting Director Robert Rowe about why the Trump campaign was stymied for years after asking for buffed-up Secret Service details following death threats. Rowe, who has been implicated in approving the denials, has instead pointed to technology and protocol failures within Trump’s 60-member team as reasons for why counter-snipers were unable to neutralize Crooks before he opened fire. Subsequent revelations revealed that the gunman was able to scout the scene of the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania hours before it began without interruption and even fly a drone to gain a better vantage point. Rowe said the Secret Service was unable to deploy its own drone that day.
What happened this past July is the result of years of propaganda pushing by left-wing media outlets who have put out false narratives designed to paint up Trump and his followers as racists full of hatred. They have called him Hitler numerous times. After years of this behavior, is it any wonder some impressionable young person snapped and decided to try and assassinate him?
Let’s hope he’s better protected now than he was on July 13.
