In a recent episode of “Democrats Sure Got It Good,” the low-ratings draw comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, got on the airwaves where he immediately urged all of those who are thinking of voting for former President Donald Trump this coming Tuesday to cast their ballots late, like next Thursday or Friday. Since the election is before that date, their ballots would then be void. If, for some odd reason, people listen to him and end up actually waiting to vote or not realizing what day they are supposed to vote, then Kimmel is involved in election interference.
Just a year ago, 2023, Douglass Mackey, who owns the “Ricky Vaughn” X account, was slapped with a seven month prison sentence for basically doing exactly what Kimmel did in this bit, which is spreading “disinformation” during the 2016 presidential race to supporters of twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton concerning how to cast a ballot, doing so in a way that would prevent their vote from being counted.
So why in the world isn’t Kimmel being held to the same standard? Oh. That’s right. As long as you believe in the correct set of dogma, in this case progressivism, and are working for the propaganda machine to spread false narratives to take out political enemies, you can get away with murder.
As proven at trial, by 2016, Mackey had established an audience on Twitter with approximately 58,000 followers. A February 2016 analysis by the MIT Media Lab ranked Mackey as one of the most significant influencers of the then-upcoming presidential election. Between September 2016 and November 2016, Mackey conspired with other influential Twitter users and with members of private online groups to use social media platforms, including Twitter, to disseminate fraudulent messages that encouraged supporters of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to “vote” via text message or social media which was legally invalid.
Oh, and it was the Biden-Harris administration that arrested Mackey and prosecuted him. Five years after the incident. Mackey’s legal defense was that he was just having fun with the whole thing. It was simply a joke, nothing more. The FBI launched an investigation into the joke and he was ultimately put on trial, found guilty, and sentenced to seven months behind bars. Our federal law enforcement system put this poor guy through almost four years of hell for a trolling post. And Kimmel will likely not have any consequences for engaging in the same behavior.
That, dear reader, is a two-tiered system of justice.
Breitbart News is reporting:
Now, let’s compare Mackey’s 58,000 Twitter followers to the 2.009 million viewers (in the most recent ratings I could find) Kimmel attracts. Kimmel’s audience is 35 times larger than Mackey’s ever was, and that doesn’t include the people who watch Kimmel’s clips online.
Nevertheless, here’s what Kimmel told Kamala Harris supporters Wednesday night: “Vote early, vote early. If you can’t vote early, vote on time.” And here’s what Democrat Privilege allowed Kimmel to say to Trump supporters: “If you want to vote for Trump, vote late, vote very late. Do your voting on Thursday or maybe Friday.”
Meaning next week Thursday and Friday. Election Day is Tuesday.
Of course, Kimmel was just cracking wise. But, as Breitbart has made clear, so was Mackey. Kimmel can sport blackface and no one says a word. Hey, he’s a Democrat, remember? The late night host can now officially do no wrong. He can utter horrific racial slurs and no one will bat an eye. He can have a show on television despite nobody watching it. He’s a Democrat who pushes the “correct” beliefs and narratives.
Anyone else tired of the hypocrisy?
