Popular conservative commentator Dan Bongino has come out and given an endorsement for Senate Majority Leader, naming Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott has his choice for the extremely important position. This is honestly a good pick. We need fresh blood in party leadership, someone who is not an establishment hack — like a certain senator from Kentucky who shall not be named — and will actually work along with President-elect Donald Trump to enact his agenda for the country.

The last thing we need is more of the establishment. God has graciously granted us an opportunity to dismantle the damage done by the radical left over the last decade and a half. We better not blow it. Who knows if He’ll give another shot?

“We have been given a mandate by the American people to support President Trump’s agenda and Make Washington WORK again,” Scott himself said, announcing his campaign for the spot. “I’m running to be the next Senate Majority leader to do just that.”

“I’m gonna run. I’m gonna win,” he said. “My Republican colleagues [want] change. They know that Trump has a mandate. They want to be part of that mandate.” One of the appeals he made for the job was that he has a really solid working relationship with Trump, which will no doubt boost his chances of being chosen for the position. He also is pretty tight and in good standing with Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.

Here’s more from Florida’s Voice:

After Trump’s victory, prominent figures on social media instrumental to Trump’s win through “get out the vote” efforts quickly coalesced around Scott for the role. “We all need to support Rick Scott (R-FL) for Senate Majority Leader,” said Scott Presler, founder of Early Vote Action PAC and resident of Pennsylvania. “Otherwise, it will be a repeat of 2016 & you’ll have Paul Ryan saboteurs.”

“Call your Senators & tell them they need to vote for Senator Rick Scott,” he said. “We also demand a public vote.” “Rick Scott for leader,” said Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, a grassroots organization with prominent get-out-the-vote operations in crucial battleground states. Scott will have to convince senators for the internal election on Nov. 13 – Tuesday, exactly one week after the general election. So far, Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., has backed Scott publicly.

“According to Axios, before the election, Trump had shrugged off Scott’s bid for Senate GOP leader. However, a Trump spokesperson pushed back on the reporting, noting the president-elect has not publicly or officially weighed in on the race,” the report went on to say, adding, ‘Additionally, Axios reported that ‘people very close to Trump’ have signaled their support for Scott as Senate leader.'”

Thankfully, with the support Scott seems to be gaining from folks like Bongino who have a lot of influence, especially with Trump, the chances of his being chosen for the leadership job are growing. With the right person in the Senate and with Johnson already willing to work closely in implementing the MAGA agenda, we will truly see the kind of improvements needed to get this nation on track finally put in place.
