On Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre got grilled on both sides like a piece of chicken on the barbie after being asked why President Joe Biden has not referred to President-elect Donald Trump an “existential threat” to our democracy lately. Her answer, which was pathetic, was that “We are now in a different place.”

In other words, now that the election is officially over and their candidate lost, they don’t have to keep calling him names like that anymore. I mean, they probably will once he takes office, but for now, it’s truce time. Which means they never actually meant it when they called him that before.

The bottom line, of course, is that Trump has never said anything that would indicate he’s a threat to the American way of life. And we have four years of him having served in office to look at as well. The policies he put in action were good for our nation. He preserved freedom, created more of it, not less. The fact people believe what the media is selling without any sort of critical thinking is a testament to how good at propaganda creation they can be.

“There was an election and the American people spoke. The will of the American people were very clear,” she said to reporters at the daily White House press conference, according to Yahoo News.

Biden met with Trump at the White House last week and committed to a “smooth transition” as the 45th and soon to be 47th president prepares to return to office in January. Their cordial meeting stood in stark contrast to the heated rhetoric used before Election Day, when Biden and Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris each called Trump a “fascist” and repeatedly warned that American democracy would be in danger if he prevailed. “Politics is tough and in many cases it’s not a very nice world, but it is a nice world today,” a smiling Trump said after Biden shook his hand and welcomed him back to the White House.

KJP then stated that the shift in tone is Biden’s attempt to “lead by example” and ensure the transfer of power is done peacefully.

“He feels like he is obligated. What he said still stands, but we are now in a different place. We are— the American people spoke. They deserve a peaceful transfer of power,” she remarked. She then stated again that Biden’s personal feelings about Trump have not changed.
