It was beautiful. It was glorious. It was delightful. It was….not a great night for MSNBC host Joy Reid, though I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoyed watching her have an epic meltdown on live television as it became apparent that Vice President Kamala Harris was going to lose the election to former President Donald Trump. You just got to love it, know what I mean?

Check out the details from The Western Journal:

In between blaming the “patriarchy” and “white women” for refusing to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in sufficient numbers to calling her home state of Florida an “extreme right-wing fascist state,” Reid’s performance on the peacock network’s cable news annex went bad-viral as it became clearer and clearer that former President Donald Trump would be returning to the White House. The first signs of a full-on meltdown came as it became clear Democratic Rep. Colin Allred was not going to unseat incumbent Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in the only possible pickup for Democrats on Tuesday.

Reid claimed, absent any evidence, that there was voter suppression. “It’s … a very voter-suppressed state,” she said. “And the focus of voter suppression coming from that state capital is Harris County, where Houston is.”

“They are relentless in it,” she then stated, making the claim that black voters “are deeply suppressed.” And yet, the supposedly “suppressed black voters” made up 12 percent of the electorate and then cast 13 percent of their vote for Cruz, which is an insane figure you take into account the left was targeting the state heavily. An exit poll published by The Washington Post revealed that 52 percent of the Latino vote, which is also supposedly suppressed by Republicans, also went to Cruz. So much suppression.

And that is only the start of Reid’s epic meltdown. When it became clear Trump would be the victor in this race, that Harris was going to lose North Carolina, the anchor said, “we have to be blunt about why.”

“Black voters came through for Kamala Harris. White women voters did not,” she remarked. And there it is. When in doubt, just blame whitey. It’s their tried and true excuse for every failure they experience. It’s absurd.

What came out of Reid’s mouth next sounds more like free association about women who won’t “change the way that they interact with the patriarchy” than any sort of coherent thought, something that would become a leitmotif throughout the night.

And then there was always her calling Florida an “extreme right-wing fascist state” just because it’s no longer a swing state, but a reliably red one.

It just kept getting worse and worse for her from that point forward. She insulted voters for agreeing with much of the former president’s rhetoric, going on to make the claim that Harris’ campaign was run flawlessly and implying that Trump would give Israel the green light to just go ahead and wipe those pesky Muslims out of Gaza.

I think it might be time to make a phone call to the men in white coats to come take Reid to a rubber padded room so she can unwind for a week or two before she becomes a danger to herself and others. Mentally speaking.
