New information has surfaced that reveals there was an extensive effort made by aides working within President Joe Biden’s administration to keep the true state of his health a secret from the American people. Of course, most of us could see through it all, but this is concrete evidence that backs up our suspicions. And it comes from a report published by the Wall Street Journal so you know it’s been vetted before being released.
The article cites several sources within the administration who are claiming that there has been a systematic approach developed to help manage information and public appearances of the president in order to downplay concerns about his health.
According to the WSJ, insiders assert that close advisors have been particularly cautious about the president’s schedule. They often limit public appearances and demand strict control over media access. The report detailed an incident in which aides reportedly intervened to adjust the lighting during a press conference to make the President appear more vigorous. The controversy centered around undisclosed health episodes that allegedly occurred several times over the past year and were downplayed or not disclosed to the public. During the 2020 Democratic primaries, Jill Biden was a fixture across Iowa, participating in events in more counties than her husband. Her press secretary at the time, Michael LaRosa, highlighted this during a conversation with a local journalist. However, the comment quickly drew the ire of Anthony Bernal, then a deputy campaign manager and chief of staff to Jill Biden.
While traveling across the state of Iowa, Bernal told LaRosa to get in contact with the reporter again and downplay the comparisons being made between the president, who was 77 at that time, and his wife, who is younger than him. The energy Jill exuded while out on the campaign trail was overshadowing Biden’s much slower pace. Aides who were close to the president shared their concerns over the big difference that was evident between the two.
Aides’ efforts to manage Biden’s public image faltered as his health declined, highlighted by the damning report from Special Counsel Robert Hur. Released last year, the report portrayed Biden, then 81, as forgetful and frail. Despite the concerning findings, Hur opted not to prosecute Biden for mishandling classified documents in his Delaware garage, describing him as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” The WSJ reported that Biden even struggled to remember lines during preparations for his interview with Hur. Additionally, Biden frequently canceled key national security meetings, with aides attributing the cancellations to his fluctuating health, noting he had ‘bad days and good days’.
One source, who was able to observe the situation closely over the length of Biden’s term told the publication that a select group of aides were always kept close to the president, giving him around-the-clock guidance and support.
Press aides were informed to keep out any negative news stories about Biden when they were putting together media clips. In other words, this dude had no earthly idea how much people didn’t like him or his policies. He was kept in a bubble.
The report ended by saying, “According to a Democratic strategist speaking to DailyMail, much of Biden’s executive authority has been wielded by key advisors who remain behind the scenes, notably Bruce Reed, Steve Ricchetti, and Mike Donilon. These advisors, often referred to as the ‘Biden whisperers,’ have been described by lower-level staff as forming a powerful ‘triumvirate’ with significant influence over the president. As Biden’s term nears its conclusion, there’s a growing consensus in Washington that it’s difficult to discern who has truly been at the helm of the administration.”
