President-elect Donald Trump isn’t even inaugurated yet and already the swamp is starting to drain. Isn’t that nuts? People are already removing themselves from their government positions in anticipation of the massive enema Dr. Trump — not a real doctor, just part of the joke — plans to jam up the rectum of the federal apparatus. The latest individual to begin preparing to abandon ship is FBI Director Christopher Wray. Which is just him reading the writing on the wall, seeing as Trump has already nominated Kash Patel for his position.
Trump, who was the one who appointed Wray, but quickly grew to be highly unsatisfied with his performance after he spent years weaponizing the FBI against him — remember the raid on Mar-a-Lago? That happened under Wray — and trying to politically take him out of the presidential race against President Joe Biden.
Here’s more from Breitbart:
Trump, who originally hired Wray but grew dissatisfied with him after years of weaponizing the bureau, such as raiding Mar-a-Lago, recently nominated Kash Patel as a replacement. Wray is among President Joe Biden’s allies that Democrat and media supporters believe should receive a preemptive pardon. White House lawyers are studying pardons, reports indicate, which would appear to project an admission of guilt. The Times reported on Wray’s potential departure:
Following Mr. Wray’s departure, Deputy Director Paul Abbate will become acting director and appoint an acting deputy director. Mr. Abbate’s original plan was to stay until May or June so he could help with the transition to a new FBI director. Kash Patel, Mr. Trump’s pick to lead the FBI, is meeting Republican senators on Capitol Hill this week. Mr. Patel, who has served as the defense secretary’s chief of staff and senior adviser to the National Security Council, was tapped by Mr. Trump to shake up the FBI management.
Mr. Wray knew his days were numbered at the FBI.
“He’s going to be gone at the inauguration. On or before the inauguration,” a source said in comments given to the Times. The bureau itself has not come out and done the usual deny, deny, deny shtick it’s known for concerning Wray’s intention to step down from his post. It did, however, emphatically reject all allegations that it had weaponized the justice system. We’re not blind, guys, though justice is supposed to be.
“The FBI has repeatedly demonstrated our commitment to responding to Congressional oversight and being transparent with the American people. Director Wray and Deputy Director Abbate have taken strong actions toward achieving accountability…” it said in a statement that was given to the outlet.
Liberals are absolutely terrified of Patel getting confirmed for FBI Director by the Senate, which will be under the control of the GOP when the new session starts next month. He’s a man with a track record for getting things done and is highly principled. He’s going to clean house and dismantle the deep state element that exists within the agency.
Perhaps, one day, the FBI will be a respectable law enforcement agency that actually serves and protects the American people as it once did.
