The replacement for longtime Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto is going to be none other than Will Cain. Cain will be taking over the 4 p.m. time slot as a number of other programming changes are made by the network. The anchor is currently one of the co-hosts of “Fox & Friends Weekend,” but later this month will debut as the host of “The Will Cain Show.” He is set to be replaced on weekends by Fox contributor and well known political pundit Charlie Hurt. A lot of moves being made over at Fox News. It’ll be interesting to see how those who were formerly viewers of Cavuto’s program will react to Cain’s new program. Will they stick around or change the channel?

The network also said “Fox Report” and “The Big Weekend Show” will both expand to two hours on Saturdays and Sundays in the wake of Cavuto’s departure. The vision for Cain’s new show is “a comprehensive look at the news of the day in a signature podcast style,” the network said. Cain, a former sports broadcaster and analyst at ESPN, joined Fox in 2020, previously served as a political commentator for CNN and was a host for the conservative media outlet The Blaze.
“It has been an honor to wake up with America these past four years and I am thrilled to apply my background in news, law, entertainment and business to help our viewers better understand the headlines through thought-provoking content and analysis every weekday afternoon,” Cain went on to say in a statement about his new show.
Earlier in January, Cavuto announced that he would be leaving Fox News after more than two decades with the company. The afternoon host was one of the few folks remaining from the very early days of the network. Cain certainly has some big shoes to fill.
It’s important that new, fresh perspectives arise in the world of news media, especially when it comes to leaning to the conservative side of the aisle. We need voices who can take timeless principles and apply them in a timely way. This is how we can reach younger people with the message of liberty and help combat the indoctrination they’re receiving all throughout their public education and into college.
We know the message is relevant. But a lot of younger folk are told our ideals are outdated, despite the fact that every society that has ever thrived, even for a short time, adhered to conservative values. Let’s hope Cain can reach a wide audience and help more people get the other side of the story.
