President Donald Trump took an opportunity after being inaugurated for the second time on Monday to give his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, the business about what she wore to the event, specifically poking fun of her hat, saying, “she almost blew away.” Isn’t it nice to have a charming, loving, president with a sense of humor again? After four years of a cranky old man snapping at everyone all the time, this is a breath of fresh air.
“In a video from The Daily Wire, Trump gave remarks to supporters shortly after he was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, and he commented briefly on Melania’s attire. The first lady wore a custom double-breasted navy coat with a matching boater hat. She completed the look with black leather gloves and matching dark blue suede pumps,” The Daily Wire reported.
“I shouldn’t say this. I’m going to get hell when I say this, but her [Melania’s] feet are absolutely aching. You know those heels,” Trump said to the folks in the room, as the first lady dropped her somewhat sober expression and smiled from ear-to-ear.
“And we thought we were leaving, going home,” he added, noting that’s when it was suggested to him to go and give remarks to some more supporters. Trump said Melania then turned to him and said “Darling, I love you so much, but my feet are killing me.”
“And then we went out to the helicopter just prior to this and said goodbye [to former President Joe Biden and Jill Biden], which is custom, and the wind is blowing like crazy,” the President added. “And with the hat that she’s wearing, she almost blew away. We almost lost our First Lady.”
“She was being elevated off the ground,” he continued. “She almost blew away. No, so we all appreciate it. You’ve been a great first lady, beautiful and a great first lady. And they love our first lady.”
At that, the whole room erupted into clapping and cheers for the first lady who grinned through the whole telling of the story. Her outfit was designed by Adam Lippes and Eric Javits, information that was included on the official social media account for news concerning Melania. That same account then posted a behind-the-scenes making of the hat.
“Exclusive look at @EricJavits making the iconic hat that Melania Trump is wearing today #FashionoftheFirstLady,” the post stated.

Melania Trump is both elegant and poised, always carrying herself with pride and dignity. It feels d**n good to have her presence back in the White House.
