New Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has decided to be hands-on in her approach to her new position within the Trump administration, following her confirmation over the weekend, joining federal agents as they conducted immigration raids in New York City early on Tuesday morning. Noem shared video captured during the raid and posted it on her X account, showing agents taking a criminal illegal migrant into custody in the Bronx. The individual is charged with kidnapping, assault, and burglary.
And these are exactly the kind of people who shouldn’t be in this country. So many of those who were allowed to just walk into the United States have lengthy criminal records. They weren’t coming here to escape tyranny, but the legal consequences of their behavior. However, the bleeding hearts of the world don’t want to face that very inconvenient face.
The Daily Wire is reporting that Noem joined agents from the Drug Enforcement Agency and Homeland Security investigators for the raids, which are the first major ones to hit the Big Apple.
“Just now. Enforcement operation in NYC. Criminal alien with kidnapping, assault & burglary charges is now in custody – thanks to @ICE. Dirtbags like this will continue to be removed from our streets,” Noem stated in the post along with a video showing the illegal immigrant being taken away in handcuffs.

The new Homeland Security secretary later shared photos of a large group of agents from multiple departments preparing for the raids. Tuesday’s operation included 20 teams of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers who worked with the FBI, DEA, and U.S. Marshals, The Washington Post reported. Twenty people were arrested on Tuesday morning, according to ICE, including a Yemeni man who was on the FBI’s radar as a suspected terrorist and a Dominican man wanted by Interpol for homicide. “Arresting some criminal aliens this morning in NYC – thank you to the brave officers involved,” Noem wrote.

“We are doing this right – doing exactly what President @realDonaldTrump promised the American people – making our streets safe. Live this AM from NYC. I’m on it,” she continued in an additional post.
The former governor of South Dakota was officially confirmed as the Homeland Security Secretary last weekend and was sworn into office. New York City, which is a “sanctuary city,” has been one of the big players nationally for illegal immigrants during the Biden years. A huge number of illegal migrants came to the city after Republican Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas started sending them by the bus load to New York and other so-called “sanctuary” jurisdictions around the United States. The move was a response to the basically non-existent border policies of the Biden administration.
What’s really shocking is the current estimations for how many illegal migrants actually live in the Big Apple. It’s believed to be around 220,000, according to Gothamist.
Agents with ICE, being handed directives from Trump’s border czar Tom Homan, have now conducted raids in several major cities and have made over 2,550 arrests. All of this has been accomplished in just the first week of Trump’s presidency.
