A top general in the Air Force who has a bad reputation for having liberal policies is about to have a very bad day. Two U.S. officials have come forward and revealed that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is planning to give Air Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown, who is the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a big boot to the backside.
Brown is on a lengthy list of individuals who have been suggested for dismissal that was handed off to Congress. Here we have yet another promise of President Donald Trump’s being fulfilled right before our eyes.
On the campaign trail, Trump promised that if he won the election, he would root out all of the wokeness within the military. And that’s exactly what he’s doing. It’s absolutely glorious.
Brown isn’t the only potential high-ranking official on the chopping block. Another name being proposed for dismissal is Adm. Lisa Franchetti, the top admiral in the Navy. Spokesmen for both individuals told the media that the two are aware their names are on the list, but have nothing else to say about the matter.
“Brown serves as the president’s top military adviser and has been chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff since October 2023, his four-year tenure is supposed to end in 2027. Franchetti has been the chief of naval operations since November 2023,” ABC News reported.
“The president has the authority to remove any general or senior officer from their current position and reassign them, should they refuse a request to resign. Three- and four-star generals or admirals only hold those ranks while in certain senior leadership roles. If forced out of a current role, there might not be another opening available for them, and such relief of authority is generally a career-ender,” it added.
Hegseth has been highly critical of both officers even before becoming the new defense secretary. With as far-left as they are and the damage their policies did to our military’s reputation on the global stage, it’s not hard to understand why Hegseth has an ax to grind.
“First of all, you’ve got to fire the chairman of the Joint Chiefs,” Hegseth went on to say in a November appearance on the “Shawn Ryan Show.”
“But any general that was involved — general, admiral, whatever — that was involved in any of the DEI woke s— has got to go,” he explained. “Either you’re in for warfighting, and that’s it. That’s the only litmus test we care about.”
In his book, “The War on Warriors,” Hegseth went on the attack against Franchetti, slamming her for a lack of combat experience and making fun of her degree from online college University of Phoenix.
“If naval operations suffers, at least we can hold our heads high. Because at least we have another first! The first female member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff — hooray. For social justice ideologues, PR matters more than reality,” he went on to say in the book.
Brown also got body slammed in the book as Hegseth wrote,
“The military standards, once the hallmark for competency, professionalism, and ‘mission first’ outcomes, have officially been subsumed by woke priorities. You think C.Q. Brown will think intuitively about external threats and internal readiness? No chance. He built his generalship dutifully pursuing the radical positions of left-wing politicians, who in turn rewarded him with promotions.”
