Beloved Fox News host Laura Ingraham is taking some pretty serious heat after having a rather “combative” interview with President Donald Trump where she took a few shots at him over his referencing Canada as the country’s 51st state and allegedly throwing gasoline on the fire of global resentment for the U.S. through trade wars.
Ingraham, who is 61, served as an informal adviser for the president during his first presidential campaign back in 2016, didn’t really seem like herself on the Tuesday evening edition of her Fox News program. When Trump provided answers to her questions she seemed to sort of swat them away like flies buzzing around her head.
Especially the reasons he gave for putting tariffs on imports from Canada, which led to Quebec placing a surcharge on electricity to several of our northern states. A little tit-for-tat going down.
“You’re tougher with Canada that you are with some of our biggest adversaries. Why?” Ingraham, who kept on interrupting Trump while he was trying to give an explanation. “They have territorial advantage. We’re not going to let them get closer to China, right?”

Undeterred, Trump called the northern neighbor “one of the nastiest countries to deal with” while laying the blame on former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and aides who he claimed “never told the truth” about tariffs on U.S. goods.
“They charged us 250%. Nobody knows that. We have a very big deficit with Canada,” he continued during the interview.
“60 billion,” Ingraham responded. When Trump declared that figure was “a lot more,” she quickly muttered, “I don’t think so.” “The Liberal Party’s going to win” because of Trump’s tariffs, Ingraham said, causing Trump to repeatedly reply “I don’t care” while shaking his head.
Wow. Pretty rude for someone who claims to be a conservative, don’t you think? Was Ingraham having a bad day or something? This is not like her at all. Or are the powers that be pressuring her to drop the hammer on Trump? Very strange.
“Not a good look…” Johnny MAGA posted on X.
“Time Trump moves on from Laura Ingraham and doesn’t give her another exclusive,” said another. Other adjectives used to describe the Fox reporter were “unfair,” “annoying,” and “disrespectful” while tossing “loaded” questions at Trump.
“The White House has asked for Americans’ patience as tariffs work through to the intended benefits Trump believes will bear fruit. He has imposed a 25% surcharge on Canadian aluminum used in beer cans and other consumer goods in a bid to pressure manufacturers to move operations or to encourage corporations relying on Canadian aluminum to strike deals with U.S. producers,” the report said.
Then, on Wednesday a new piece from the Washington Post stated that advisors for the president are now getting ready to drop “trillions” of dollars in new tariffs on April 2nd, which will no doubt cause tensions between our nation and others around the world to rise.
“It’s a liberation day for our country because we’re going to be getting back a lot of the wealth that we so foolishly gave up to other countries, including friend and foe,” Trump went on to tell reporters on Monday.
While Ingraham was a bit on the hostile side Tuesday evening, she did encourage American viewers not to pay attention to the tumultuous stock market, going on to say, “Trump is good for business,” pointing her viewers to check out the major drop in the price of eggs as an example.
“Just ignore the sky-is-falling reports and the regime press,” Ingraham went on to tell her audience during an episode of “The Ingraham Angle” last week. “Tune out the breathless reporting about market gyrations because even the most dedicated globalists, they know Trump is good for business.”
