Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a Democrat from Texas, is now coming under heavy criticism after a hidden video emerged showing the difference between how she used to talk and the persona she’s created and mask she hides behind in Congress today. The footage has led to many folks questioning if the change in her speech is a planned, purposeful action rather than representing who she truly is.
In the footage, which was posted on X, clips of Crockett from before her time in Congress are juxtaposed with recent film of her. You can tell the difference immediately. Her speech in Congress is radically different in its delivery, dialect, and tone.
So basically, she’s pulling a Kamala Harris. During her time serving as vice president, Harris would change the way she talked and sounded depending on the audience she was addressing. It came off as condescending and fake.
Much like Crockett is here, as she talks with a totally different accent now than she did before.

The footage comes as Crockett is already under fire for her rant about President Donald Trump and U.S. foreign policy. Speaking in response to Trump’s recent address, she said:
“I don’t even know why we fightin’ with Greenland. Why we fightin’ with Greenland? We fightin’ with Canada. We fightin’ with Mexico. Yet we in love with Putin. What is happening? Like this is not America. This is a terrible nightmare. Somebody slap me and wake me the [expletive] up.”
The clip quickly gained traction online, with viewers blasting her as unqualified and embarrassing.
According to Trending Politics News, many users on X commented about Crockett, making fun of her lack of coherence. One individual wrote, “How does someone like that get elected?” Another person stated, “Texas, how tf did you vote this clown in?”
And it seems Crockett wasn’t done there either, going deeper and deeper into her unhinged rant as the day progressed, going on a personal attack against the president saying, “I would tell him to grow a spine and stop being Putin’s ho.”
Conservative commentator Clay Travis said in his reaction to the clip, “Jasmine Crockett, congresswoman from Texas, calls Trump ‘Putin’s ho.’ Democrats are lost, y’all. I’ve never seen a party destroy itself like this.”

It’s almost like the Democratic Party is purposefully destroying itself. I don’t think they are, but you really can’t make stuff like this up.
Some critics pointed out the irony of her sudden shift in speech, suggesting she adopted the style only after entering Congress to appeal to a particular demographic. One user commented, “She’s literally drinking the Kool-Aid.” Others saw her outbursts as a sign of desperation. “They need to keep trotting her out there—bonus for Republicans!” one person joked.
I’d say the correct take is that she’s trying desperately to appeal to urban black voters. She apparently hasn’t read up on the data. Many individuals in that demo are turning to Trump. They’re completely fed up with the false promises made to them by Democrats.
All of America is ready for change. That’s why more and more people have been flipping away from the Democratic Party and going all in on Trump.
