President Donald Trump delivered a proverbial haymaker to the face of the family of former President Joe Biden on Tuesday by signing an unconditional pardon to one of the key witnesses who helped expose the alleged criminal activity carried out by his troubled younger son, Hunter Biden, his brother James, sister-in-law, and many others who got their pockets stuffed with cash from foreign business dealings.
The world was shocked when Trump pardoned Devon Archer and for some reason the story went largely unreported. That’s a bit of sarcasm. We all know why the media didn’t cover Archer’s pardon.
All the talk right now is focused on the accidental leak of war plans in a Signal chat to a journalist from The Atlantic, a publication most people haven’t heard of and thus do not read.
However, Trump’s move here is rather significant as it was Archer who helped Republicans in the House start an investigation into the Biden family after he agreed to be a whistleblower.
“In signing the pardon, Trump stated that Archer was the victim of a ‘crime’ and had been treated ‘very unfairly.’ He had been facing up to a year in prison for allegedly defrauding a Native American tribe by fraudulently selling members $60 million worth of bonds,” Trending Politics News reported.
“Devon Archer was a former business partner of the Biden family. He was prosecuted relating to a fraud investigation, but notably, the tone and tenor of that prosecution changed dramatically after he began to cooperate with congressional investigators and serve as a witness against Hunter Biden and the Biden family. We believe that was an injustice, and therefore we’re asking you to pardon him,” White House Staff Secretary Will Scharf said to the president just before the signing.

“And many people have asked me to do this. I think he was treated very unfairly. And I looked at the records, studied the records, and he was a victim of a crime, as far as I’m concerned. So we’re going to undo that,” Trump went on to say about signing the pardon.
“Congratulations, Devon,” Trump said.
Speaking about the pardon, Archer, a former business associate of Hunter, told Fox News’ Jesse Watters that he never imagined having to ask President Trump for a pardon because President Biden and his son promised to “take care of him,” the anchor said in a report this week.

Instead, “they were lobbying to put me in as the target and remove Hunter,” Archer told Watters, the Daily Caller reports. “I think it’s chronic of what that legal apparatus was and I certainly was a victim.”
For years, Archer and Hunter Biden operated on foreign soil, wining and dining overseas oligarchs, royals, and high-powered businessmen while leaning into the Biden family name. On more than a dozen occasions, Hunter dialed his father, the sitting vice president at the time, into meetings to demonstrate his ability to move the levers of power in Washington, D.C.
Probes that were carried out by House Oversight Chair James Comer, a Kentucky Republican, revealed that a number of shell companies were moving proceeds from some of the deals being made back to James Biden, the former president’s brother, and to his wife Sarah as well.
Some of the cash was moved again, this time into Joe Biden’s bank account. An amount of $40,000 was deposited and marked as a “loan repayment” to the former president.
