President Donald Trump revealed he’s deeply disappointed with a longtime Fox News anchor after she made it a point to offer criticism concerning a recent White House event featuring vehicles produced by Tesla, which is headed up by his good friend and adviser — the top dog of the Department of Government Efficiency — Elon Musk.
Trump slammed anchor Jacqui Heinrich in the worst possible way by saying she “should be working for CNN” after she ripped the president’s appearance with Musk who bragged about the reliability of the electric cars being produced by his company. He also encouraged Americans to go out and buy one.
Now why would a president make such an appearance? Because radical leftists are going out and committing horrible acts of vandalism at Tesla dealerships all over the U.S.
“Was that an appropriate thing for the president to do there?” Heinrich went on to ask a colleague during an on-air Sunday’s broadcast.
“In a separate instance, she wondered aloud whether Trump was being ‘played’ by Russian President Vladimir Putin,” Trending Politics News reported.
“I watched Jacqui Heinrich from Fox over the weekend and I thought she was absolutely terrible,” Trump stated in a post published on Truth Social late in the day on Wednesday.
“She should be working for CNN, not Fox,” he zinged, delivering the ultimate burn for a journalist. “Not surprisingly, I later found out that she’s a fan of the White House Correspondents Association!”
Heinrich is a board member of the WHCA, which has sparred with the Trump administration over its decision to revoke credentials for the Associated Press. Longtime Fox News anchor Brit Hume raced to his colleague’s defense just hours later.
“I watched her too. She plays it straight, covering both sides of a story and has certainly played fair with you. You may have a case against some White House reporters, but not @JacquiHeinrich,” Hume stated in a post on X.
During the same episode, Heinrich asked White House national security advisor Mike Waltz if the president was being “played” by Putin, much to his chagrin. She noted a European intelligence agency’s discovery of a document allegedly from the Kremlin outlining how to stall for time at the negotiating table. She then quoted a Washington Post story about discussions to boost Russia’s bargaining position by offering the U.S. access to Russian minerals while stiff-arming peacekeepers and demilitarized zones.
“How do you know President Trump isn’t being played right now by Putin?” Heinrich then asked Waltz.
“Well look, that’s almost laughable,” the Trump advisor fired back at Heinrich. “I’ll take President Trump in dealing with the likes of Xi, of Kim Jong Un, with Putin and others certainly ahead of his predecessor.”
Back when the legal discovery process that was part of Fox’s Dominion lawsuit was unfolding, a series of emails and text messages from conservative journalist Tucker Carlson revealed how he tried to use his influence to get Heinrich booted from the network after she fact-checked Trump, offering push back on allegations made by Carlson and others that Dominion voting machines were at fault for the results of the 2020 presidential election.
“There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised,” Heinrich went on to write in a post on social media at the time.
Carlson later texted fellow hosts Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham: “Please get her fired. Seriously… What the f***? I’m actually shocked. It needs to stop immediately, like tonight. It’s measurably hurting the company. The stock price is down. Not a joke.”
“Heinrich is the second Fox star to draw the ire of conservatives in less than a week. Trump supporters singled out Ingraham for her combative’ interview with Trump on Tuesday night, in which she raised doubts about his aggressive posture toward Canada,” the report finished.
