Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin recently posted on the social media platform X, emphasizing the agency’s stance against the physical assault of agents working for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In the statement, she said, “We will not tolerate assault against our ICE law enforcement agents. By members of Congress or anyone else.”
McLaughlin’s comments come amid reports of a significant increase in attacks against ICE personnel. She went on to point out that officers in the agency have experienced a massive 300 percent increase in assaults. She also slammed propagandists in the mainstream media for downplaying or completely misrepresenting the incidents to avoid holding those responsible accountable for their actions.
These are brave men and women who have placed themselves in harm’s way to keep our country safe by deporting violent gang members from South America and cartel scum from Mexico. You can disagree with our current immigration policy, but it’s unacceptable to physically assault federal agents simply doing a job.
Homeland Security’s position on this matter highlights the difficulties those in federal law enforcement face due to heightened political scrutiny and the rage in public discourse surrounding this critical issue.

Leftist news media have done a phenomenal job of keeping low-information voters and those who have been brainwashed by mainstream media propaganda networks slipping and sliding down the rabbit hole of morality, so that they’re now sticking up for violent criminals instead of their victims. Remember when the left used to scream at the political right for “victim blaming?”
They no longer seem to have a problem with that anymore. You can be a violent rapist from MS-13 with a series of violent murders under your belt, but as long as you crossed the border illegally, you’re good. Progressives in Congress will have your back. No worries.
How did we as a society get to this point? How morally bankrupt does a person have to be to stick up for criminals? The hatred for President Donald Trump is so great among these individuals that they will do anything to destroy him and his America First agenda, including sabotage by weaponizing an invasion of illegal immigrants.
