One of the beloved co-hosts of Fox News’ smash hit “Gutfeld!” made an appearance on the program after a lengthy absence and revealed the truth about her health struggles while pregnant. She’s kept this from the public until now.
Kat Timpf, known as a master of sarcasm and for her wry smirk, revealed to the viewing audience during an episode of the 10 p.m. news show that she’s feeling much better and is back to her old self after a fierce battle with breast cancer, which was fought while she was carrying her first child.
Timpf, 36, said, “I am boob-free. I am cancer-free as well.” The comedian said the decision to get a mastectomy was not something she stressed about at all, wisecracking that she didn’t want to “risk my life for some 32As.”
Her doctors told her that she may not ever know for sure if the pregnancy is what triggered the cancer, however, after giving birth to a baby boy, Timpf said the battle was “so worth it.”
According to data from the American Cancer Society, breast cancer affects one in eight women. Fans got on social media to celebrate Timpf for being so open about her struggles.
A user on Instagram commented on a clip from the show, saying, “Kat, welcome back! You were missed!”
Another said, “So happy to see you!!! You look beautiful!” They also tossed a few heart emojis in there for good measure.
“Been praying for her. Love seeing her back on the show,” a third stated.
“Timpf had been quiet on social media since taking leave from ‘Gutfeld!’ in March. At the time, she revealed she had undergone a double mastectomy and was receiving continued cancer treatment during pregnancy. In what turned out to be a miraculous development, doctors informed Timpf that she was cancer-free one day before having her child,” Trending Politics News reported.
She published a post-labor photo holding her infant son, and, true to form, she utilized the tender moment to squeeze a laugh from her fans.
“Post-op! They’re honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant,” she quipped about a breast size reduction as part of the procedure to rid herself of cancer.
Timpf has been an open book about her many health struggles over the years, especially when she discovered she had cancer while carrying her son. In February, the “Gutfeld!” co-host expressed the the hurricane of emotions she experienced when she was told about both her pregnancy and cancer diagnosis.
“Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world. About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer,” she wrote. In the post, Timpf reassured fans that the prognosis was good and doctors were confident the cancer was in its early stages, thus would not spread to other parts of the body.
“By the afternoon, I was waddling around from appointment to appointment, talking about how to get my cancer out.” Not long after all the doctor consultations, Timpf said she was “crawling around the floor of my apartment in spontaneous labor.”
Timpf and her husband, Cameron Friscia, had their baby boy on February 25, 2025, but have not yet shared his name publicly.
