Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) introduced a new resolution on Tuesday that’s going to make the LGBTQ L-M-N-O-P whatever crowd blow steam out of both ears and maybe several other openings along with them. Miller’s resolution strikes back at Pride Month which happens every June and is nothing more than a sinful celebration of morally depraved debauchery of the worst kind.
It strips away “Pride Month” and replaces it with “Family Month,” in an effort to reclaim the opening month of summer from the poison of leftist ideology. Amen and amen.
I think it’s probably important to note that June is also a celebration in the Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which is a month-long meditation and rejoicing in the deep, unending, unfathomably deep love Christ has for humanity.
To me, it seems both Family Month and the celebration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus go pretty well together. The family unit is one of the many gifts God has created and given to us as a show of His tender love and care for our souls.
Miller’s resolution is supported by several parental rights advocacy groups. The list includes: oms for America, the American Family Project, the Family Research Council, the Eagle Forum, and others. It’s co-sponsored by Republican Reps. Michael Cloud, Harriet Hageman, Barry Moore, Diana Harshbarger, Randy Weber, Troy Nehls, Mark Harris, and Michael Rulli.

“The American family is under relentless attack from a radical leftist agenda that seeks to erase truth, redefine marriage, and confuse our children,” Miller told The Daily Wire. “By recognizing June as Family Month, we reject the lie of ‘Pride’ and instead honor God’s timeless and perfect design. If we truly want to restore our nation, we must stand united to protect and uphold the foundation upon which it was built — the family.”
The resolution comes amid heavy pushback against gender ideology from President Donald Trump’s administration. The president has enacted multiple executive orders banning transgender procedures for children, men in women’s sports and spaces, and inappropriate sexual or gender content in schools.
The Daily Wire first reported on Monday that the Education Department has declared June “Title IX Month” in recognition of the 53rd anniversary of the historic legislation’s passage, opting out of celebrating “Pride Month” as President Joe Biden’s administration had done.
Taking a look at Miller’s resolution, it’s clear she designed it as a repudiation of gender ideology pushed by the radical left for the last 10 years. In it, she describes the traditional nuclear family as “the foundation of a healthy society,” which is the truth. Has been from the very beginning.
It also says that moms and dads “play a crucial and irreplaceable role in the upbringing of their children.” Amen. Children need a mom and a dad, not two moms or two dads, speaking of course in the sense of one singular family unit. Blended families are not the topic of conversation.
It also states that the “best environment for children to thrive is a home with a married mother and father,” and it points to the high divorce rate in the United States and the rise in young people delaying or forgoing marriage and family, pointing out that “many tax and welfare policies encourage cohabitation and penalize couples for getting married.”
“The birth rate in the United States has fallen below the replacement level needed to replenish the population and sustain the economy,” the resolution goes on to say.
“The month of June was first declared as Pride Month by President Bill Clinton in 1999 and has been done so by Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, rejecting the importance of marriage and family,” the resolution further elaborates. “Americans are inundated with perverse Pride Month displays and events throughout the month of June that denigrate the nuclear family.”
It then discusses the disparagement that those who believe in a traditional nuclear family face from the mass of left-wing extremists as well as “the decline of marriage and family has corresponded to a rise in crime, drug abuse, and other social ills.”
Wrapping things up, the resolution says that our nation’s civilization is dependent upon the “continuation of traditional marriage and family.” It then demands that those within the House of Representatives recognize how important the nuclear family is and no longer recognize Pride Month.
