California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been attacking President Donald Trump relentlessly for choosing to deploy 2,000 members of the National Guard to Los Angeles in order to assist local police in dealing with the chaotic, violent mobs ripping the city apart over ICE raids.
Newsom, proving he has an IQ smaller than his shoe size, said that the boys — and girls — in blue didn’t need any such aid and could handle things all on their own. No need for the National Guard to be sent in to clean up the mess. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, took Newsom to school by saying that his leadership is “too weak” to provide protection for the city. And looking at the status of the city today, I’d say she nailed it. Newsom doesn’t have the intestinal fortitude to do what actually needs to be done to quell the rioting.
According to Trending Politics News, Leavitt also claimed that Newsom “did nothing” as the riots grew bigger and got more intense over the weekend.
“Federal law enforcement officers were attacked by violent radicals and illegal criminals waving foreign flags because Governor Newsom was too weak to protect the city,” Leavitt pointed out. “The Los Angeles Police Chief has even said the riots were getting out of hand.”
“President Trump has stepped in to maintain law and order and protect federal buildings,” she added.
President Trump deployed a total of 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles. They began arriving on Sunday morning. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said over the weekend that these troops would provide additional security around buildings, to individuals engaged in peaceful protest, and law enforcement officers. Newsom continued to throw verbal punches toward Trump on Monday, referring to him as “unhinged.” The governor has been slamming the president in post after post on X for allegedly federalizing the National Guard. He also claimed Trump’s actions are making things worse.
“This is exactly what Donald Trump wanted,” Newsom stated with no shortage of stupidity. “He flamed the fires and illegally acted to federalize the National Guard. The order he signed doesn’t just apply to CA. It will allow him to go into ANY STATE and do the same thing.”
He then said he’s going to sue Trump over deploying the troops. Again, no shortage of stupidity with this guy.
The administration is claiming that Newsom handled the riots improperly from the very beginning, which forced the president to take action and deploy the National Guard to protect buildings and the community. This is no doubt an attempt to avoid the riots that occurred in 2020 following the death of George Floyd.
We should start calling Newsom butter because when it comes to making bad choices, he’s on a roll. After going after Trump, he set his sights on the president’s border czar Tom Homan, daring him to come arrest him.
Oh how I wish this would happen. Please.
“Trump’s border czar is threatening to arrest me for speaking out. Come and get me, tough guy. I don’t give a damn,” Newsom promised in his post. “It won’t stop me from standing up for California.”
“Let’s get this straight: 1) Local law enforcement didn’t need help. 2) Trump sent troops anyway — to manufacture chaos and violence. 3) Trump succeeded. 4) Now things are destabilized, and we need to send in more law enforcement just to clean up Trump’s mess,” Newsom continued to rant.
Well, boss, I hate to tell you this, but the Los Angeles Police Department is telling a totally different story. Officials with the LAPD have declared the protests an “unlawful assembly” and revealed the mob failed “to disperse in the downtown area.”
Central Division explained on X, “Agitators have splintered into and through out the Downtown Area. Residents, businesses and visitors to the Downtown Area should be alert and report any criminal activity. Officers are responding to several different locations to disperse crowds.”
“An UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY has been declared for the Downtown Los Angeles area,” the department added.
Is there ever going to be a time when Newsom doesn’t have egg all over his face?
