A White House reporter asked a ridiculous question — in other news, water is wet — on Wednesday that ended up earning them a lashing — figuratively speaking — from President Donald Trump. Not one to waste the opportunities the mainstream media presents to him, Trump responded by reminding the press they won’t always receive every piece of news they crave from him.
While Trump is mulling over potential U.S. involvement in Iran, many in the media have become extremely hostile in their coverage, wanting to know if the president is going to go back on promises he made while on the campaign trail to avoid entanglements inf foreign countries, especially those of a military nature.
Many of his MAGA supporters are conservatives who are sick and tired of being involved in costly wars, particularly the same ones we always end up fighting. Like those in the Middle East region. It’s a never-ending cycle of oppression and violence there due in large part to the Islamic ideology that is rampant there.
When a journalist tried to prod the president concerning what course of action he was going to take, they crossed a line and Trump let them have it with both proverbial barrels blazing.
“Are you moving closer, or do you believe the U.S. is moving closer, to striking Iranian nuclear facilities? Where’s your mindset on that?” she went on to ask Trump. The president threw his hands up in the air at the audacity of the question.
“Well obviously I can’t say that,” he responded in a mocking tone. “You don’t serious think I’m gonna answer that ques– ‘will you strike the Iranian nuclear component, and what time exactly, sir?’”
Okay, that last bit is absolutely hilarious. It’s refreshing to have a commander-in-chief with a sharp wit and a sense of humor with some bite.
“Sir, when you strike it, would you please inform us so we can be there and watch.’ I mean, you don’t know if I’m gonna do it. I may do it, I may not do it, nobody knows what I’m gonna do,” he continued. “I can tell you this, that Iran’s got a lot of trouble, and they want to negotiate.”

Speaking about his conversation with Iran’s supreme leader, he added, “I said ‘why didn’t you speak with me two weeks ago? You could’ve done fine. You could’ve had a country.’”
Iran is smoldering after six days of heavy bombardment by Israel’s air force, which has effectively taken control of its skies after neutralizing most of the country’s fighter jets. Thousands were still fleeing Tehran on Wednesday after Israel provided notice that it plans to conduct yet another round of bombing on the Iranian capital city.
President Trump’s comments come a day after a post he made on Truth Social showcased musings about taking out Iran Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei via military strike. He even went so far as to taunt the regime by saying he knew the location where Khamenei is hiding.
“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there — We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now,” he said in the ominous post.
Both sets of remarks follow those made on Monday at the G7 in Canada, where President Trump suggested he has grown tired about Iran’s refusal to negotiate for peace by ending its pursuit of military-grade enriched uranium.
“I want to see no nuclear weapon in Iran, and we’re well on our way to making sure that happens,” Trump told members of the press while leaving the summit. “I’m not much in a mood to negotiate.”
