Legal expert Alan Dershowitz is fully on board with President Donald Trump dropping the hammer on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) over referring to him as a rapist. And the rest of us should be backing the same play. What Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) did was libel, meaning she slandered the president in a print medium.
Apparently, AOC, along with many of her diehard leftist cohorts think you can just make things up about people, proclaim them as fact, and poof! It is so. It reminds me of that episode of “The Office” where boss Michael Scott yells “I declare bankruptcy!!” in the middle of the office and believes that’s all he had to do.
When someone later informs him that you can’t just yell bankruptcy, he says he didn’t shout it, he “declared” it. That’s AOC and all her buddies with Trump rape allegations. Say it over and over as many times as you like. It still doesn’t make it true.
“It’s a far stronger suit than it would be against The Wall Street Journal. Because everybody knows that not only was he not convicted of being a rapist, he was acquitted of that charge specifically,” Dershowitz said during an interview. “She’s making it up in the face of knowledge that it isn’t true. So it would be much easier to prove malice against her than to prove it against The Wall Street Journal.”
He then added, “So I don’t see any reason — if he’s gonna sue The Wall Street Journal — why he shouldn’t sue her as well.”

AOC’s atrocious lies were part of comments she made on social media in the middle of the controversy concerning the Justice Department’s Jeffrey Epstein files debacle. The radical left-winger, who has gotten into more than one tiff with President Trump, decided to share her opinion on the controversy.
“Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epstein Files?” She said in a post on X. Not very subtle, right?
And, according to Fox News, Dershowitz is not the only person who thinks Trump needs to put AOC back in her place by filing a lawsuit against her.
“The President should sue AOC into bankruptcy. I realize she’s trying to raise her profile but this is way way too far,” legal analyst Phil Holloway went on to say in a post published on X.
“Even under the ridiculously lenient standards of NY Times v. Sullivan, you’ve managed to incur defamation liability Wow,” Rep. Mike Lee (R-UT) posted in a reply to Ocasio-Cortez.
“Well we have grounds for a huge defamation suit here you idiot because Donald Trump has never been indicted for rape much less convicted,” host of YourVoice America Bill Mitchell published on social media.
It’s time to hold the radical left accountable for their actions. They are not above the law. A member of Congress should be held to an even higher standard of conduct. You can’t lie about people, especially with such a serious charge. Time to pay the piper, AOC.
