In a story guaranteed to leave you shocked to the core, “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough, someone who is not at all a fan of President Donald Trump, recently tossed him a lifeline as the scandal concerning Jeffrey Epstein continues to get worse. This is truly an unlikely place to find help and support for the president. Strange times we’re living in, right?
During a program that aired on Thursday, Scarborough pointed out that while many members of MAGA and hardcore conservatives are up in arms over Trump’s refusal to release all the files related to the Epstein case, many traditional Republicans don’t yet care.
“MAGA influencers, the MAGA base – They’re outraged. They’re enraged with the president there. There’s a split on where they stand on the Epstein files… it’s about a 50/50 split,” Scarborough said. “That said, we’ve seen no evidence yet of Donald Trump losing support among Republicans. He’s sitting at 88 to 90 percent support among Republicans. So until those numbers start moving, I suspect that we’re just talking about MAGA influencers, mainly.”
The comments from the morning show host come as many of the president’s MAGA allies have started to turn their backs on him for not releasing the Epstein client list. Instead, the administration has denied such a list even exists. They’ve even made the claim that Epstein really did commit suicide, despite evidence that suggests otherwise.
Following this debacle, MAGA got socked in the jaw a second time when a Wall Street Journal report was published saying that Trump sent a rather racy birthday card to Epstein for his 50th birthday back in 2003.
President Trump has denied the allegations. He has also filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the WSJ for their allegations.

On Wednesday, the prestige paper alleged that Trump was first told by his Attorney General Pam Bondi in May that his name appeared in papers concerning pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein. Joe Scarborough said the Republican party remains supportive of president Donald Trump – despite MAGA’s rage over the Epstein files.
There’s no suggestion of wrongdoing on President Trump’s part, but he has angered many of his own supporters by vowing to release the Epstein files while campaigning, only to refuse to do so now he’s in power. Democrats are said to be delighted by the scandal and are using it to try and create ruptures between Trump and the GOP.
How sickening that there are human beings who have so dedicated themselves to a political ideology that they are celebrants of someone being potentially accused of having connections to a pedophile. Despicable to say the least.
While Scarborough appeared to defend Trump on Thursday, earlier this week, he accused the president of trying to distract his supporters amid the Epstein files scandal.
“Pretty much, what everyone in Washington and New York, anybody in politics have concluded, is that Donald Trump is throwing everything at the wall,” Scarborough stated on Tuesday’s episode of the program. “You can say he’s doing it to distract from Epstein, you can say he’s doing it to distract from whatever, but there is no doubt he’s throwing everything at the wall.”
In all honesty, I think the vast majority of MAGA are in agreement that not keeping his word about releasing the Epstein files and client list is severely damaging the movement and the potential for the Republican Party to hold control of Congress and the White House in the near future.
Perhaps if enough pressure is applied to the current administration, we’ll finally get some answers.
