It was bound to happen. Inevitable actually. Even a rebel owner like the Washington Commanders Dan Snyder couldn’t deny the woke mob their brand of justice.
After the honest comments Jack Del Rio made regarding the January 6th Capital riot, in comparison to the BLM riots of 2020, we knew it was a matter of time before the wolves came calling.
Well, they called. The Commanders and head coach Ron Rivera answered. Per Outkick:
Washington Commanders defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio deleted his Twitter account just one day after he was fined for comments relating to a tweet.
The team fined Del Rio $100,000 on Friday for comments he made on Twitter earlier in the week.
“As we saw last night in the hearings, what happened on the Capitol on January 6, 2021 was an act of domestic terrorism,”(Ron) Rivera said in Friday’s statement. “A group of citizens attempted to overturn the results of a free and fair election, and, as a result lives were lost and the Capitol building was damaged.”
Rivera continued: “I want to make it clear that our organization will not tolerate any equivalency between those who demanded justice in the wake of George Floyd’s murder and the actions of those on January 6 who sought to topple our government.”
Really Ron? If you even wrote this, which, based on every time I have seen you address the media, versus what I read here, I doubt you did.
What a disgusting, cowardly act by a cowardly organization. The fact is, there ISN’T an equivalency between the 2020 riots and January 6. 2020 was WORSE!
Billions of dollars in property damage, at least 25 people killed, countless injured, and so many lives and businesses, black-owned businesses, gone. For what? To avenge a career criminal? Give me a break.
Jack Del Rio was fined $100k for merely asking why the January 6th riot, which was far less deadly, destructive, & injurious than the BLM riots is being obsessively investigated while there are no investigations at all into the hundreds of BLM riots. On the subject of January 6, there was ZERO attempt to topple the election. It was an UNARMED, relatively small group of people. There was almost no police presence, and multiple videos showed police even leading protesters in. Nothing was burned, nothing looted, and no small business owners put out of business. And the only death was a PROTESTER.
Don’t get me started on a “free and fair” election. We all know that’s the real BIG LIE.
ESPN reports that Del Rio is expected to address the team on Tuesday and sources close to the players have said they don’t think it will be an issue with his players.
“One person close to defensive end Chase Young said of Del Rio, ‘That’s his guy,’” ESPN reports.
Defensive tackle Jonathan Allen told NBC Sports Washington, “I don’t care about his opinion as long as he shows up every day and works hard. That’s what I want from my defensive coordinator.”
Thankfully Washington’s players are smart enough to see through this and stick by their coach.
Truly the fault lies with the NFL, owner Dan Snyder, and head coach Ron Rivera. At some level, someone has to tell the NAACP, or whatever branch of the woke mafia, to pound sand and mind their own business. Until that happens and these bullies are put in their place, organizations like the Commanders will lose face, fans, and money, and the nation will be the worse for it.
