The response Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York had to being asked about whether or not she would be supporting President Joe Biden should he decide to run again in 2024 is yet another example of how even folks on the left are trying to distance themselves from the train wreck that is the current administration.
Though we need to be clear, the reason that AOC is not wanting to endorse Biden has nothing to do with her thinking his policies are too extreme and are thus hurting America. Quite the opposite. It’s most likely the reason she’s got her undergarments twisted up and lodged in unsavory places is due to the fact Biden isn’t far enough to the left.
She’s a confessing socialist, remember? Just look at the Green New Deal, which she helped put together, and you’ll see it for yourself.
According to a report from TheBlaze, AOC was asked during an interview on CNN that aired on Sunday’s “State of the Union” program hosted by Dana Bash, if she would support Biden if he decided to seek reelection.
“You know, if the president chooses to run again in 2024 – I mean, first of all, I’m focused on winning this majority right now. And preserving a majority this year in 2022,” Ocasio-Cortez attempted to change the subject while she laughed, visibly uncomfortable by the question. “We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. But I think if the president has a vision, then that’s something we’re all certainly willing to entertain and examine when the time comes.”
Show host Bash responded by saying, “That’s not a yes.”
I bet AOC was starting to feel the heat, hoping she would not need to lift her arms for any reason as doing so would reveal sweat-stained pits. She then tried to do a little River Dancing around the question.
The congresswoman nervously replied to Bash, saying, “Yeah, you know, I think we should endorse…when we get to it.”
AOC then attempted to do damage control, realizing this whole thing was turning into a political car wreck.
“But I believe that the president has been doing a very good job so far,” she said.
“And, you know, should he run again, I think that I — you know, I think it’s — we’ll take a look at it,” AOC stated while she let loose with another strained chuckle. “But right now we need to focus on winning a majority instead of a presidential election.”

Keep in mind that AOC had backed fellow socialist Democratic Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont during the 2020 presidential primary.
Again, this reluctance to throw support behind Biden has nothing to do with AOC thinking his policies are bad for America because they are too radical, which they are. No, they aren’t radical enough for her. That’s the problem she has with Biden.
There’s little doubt that’s much of the reason for Democrats distancing themselves from the president. They want someone completely, thoroughly, dedicated to the cause who also happens to have all of their marbles collected together.
It’s going to be very difficult for Democrats to pull off a White House victory in 2024 if their candidate is Joe Biden.
