A brand new poll has revealed that the vast majority of Americans are against transgender women — men who identify as women — competing against biological females at the high school, college, and professional levels in sports.
Well, no duh.
Whether the radical left wants to admit it or not, a biological male who identifies as a female will always have a physical advantage over biological females. The use of hormone blockers and other such drugs might reduce that a bit, but at the end of the day a biological male’s bones are denser and his strength just greater than that of a woman.
It’s just fundamental science.
According to a report from TheBlaze, a poll that was published by the Washington Post was conducted in partnership with the University of Maryland during the month of May and discovered that 55 percent of Americans are opposed to seeing transgender women and girls compete against “other women and girls” in high school sports, while 58 percent are against athletic matchups at both the college and professional sports levels.
“About 3 in 10 Americans said transgender women and girls should be allowed to compete at each of those levels, the paper said, adding that 15% have no opinion. But at the youth level, 49% are opposed to transgender girls competing with ‘other girls,’ the Post reported, while 33% said trans girls should be allowed to compete and 17% have no opinion,” TheBlaze reported.
“Among athletes, the controversy has centered on transgender females, in particular. Critics say they have an unfair physical advantage against cisgender females because of factors such as generally having a greater muscle mass and larger skeletal frame, bone density and testosterone levels, which can help boost athletic performance,” The Washington Post said.
“Critics of the bans say they deny transgender athletes’ right to compete in a space that aligns with their gender, further stigmatizing children who are at greater risk of mental health problems. Critics also say the bans overestimate the extent of trans girls’ and women’s participation in athletics,” the Post continued.
The report then went on to add that the poll discovered more than two-thirds of Americans, 68 percent, say that transgender girls would have a competitive advantage over “other girls” if they are allowed to compete against them in youth sports.
A total of 30 percent stated that neither would have an advantage, with only 2 percent saying “other girls” would have the advantage.
Not sure what kind of drugs the 2 percent are enjoying, but they clearly didn’t bring enough to share, so get out of here with that nonsense.
The poll was completed online between the dates of May 4-17, 2022, using a random national sample of 1,503 adults. It was conducted by the Washington Post and the University of Maryland’s Shirley Povich Center for Sports Journalism and Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement.
The results have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points.
It’s amazing that a poll was necessary to get this data. Now that we have it, will the powers that be who continue to try and force the issue of transgender women competing against biological women in various sporting events finally get the picture and stop the madness?
Probably not. This means they are science deniers, but hey, they are the left, so I guess that means they are allowed to break the rules they create.
