Leftist actor Ron Perlman, you know, the guy whose claim to fame is having played Hellboy in the movie by the same name, tweeted out on Thursday that the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down requirements in the state of New York for those seeking to have a concealed carry permit proven by “proper cause,” is for “whites only,” according to TheBlaze.
If you’ve followed Perlman online, then you know this is guy is a troll who spews forth idiocy each and every time his fingers grace his phone’s keyboard. In fact, my recommendation is not to follow him at all. You might end up losing ten IQ points.
See? I’m looking out for you. That’s a service we offer here free of charge.
Now, there are many problems with Perlman’s statement but chief among is the fact that majority opinion was written by Justice Clarence Thomas, who is himself black.
If Perlman did any sort of research before spewing his filth and nonsense, he’d have known this and not said something so utterly stupid.
“The constitutional right to bear arms in public for self-defense is not ‘a second-class right, subject to an entirely different body of rules than the other Bill of Rights guarantees,” Thomas wrote in the majority opinion concerning the decision, going on to add that “we know of no other constitutional right that an individual may exercise only after demonstrating to government officers some special need. That is not how the First Amendment works when it comes to unpopular speech or the free exercise of religion. It is not how the Sixth Amendment works when it comes to a defendant’s right to confront the witnesses against him. And it is not how the Second Amendment works when it comes to public carry for self-defense.”
Recognizing his foolishness, Perlman deleted the tweet less than a half an hour after posting it, however, once you put something out on the Internet, it pretty much exists there forever.
“Why’d you delete this, @perlmutations?” one Twitter user asked the actor. “Did you figure out a Black man is responsible for the decision? It’s like some of you are getting dumber in real time.”

Another user went on to add, “A decision written by a black guy is ‘FoR wHiTeS OnLy”? Ok…”

“A comfortable white liberal calling out a ‘racist’ SCOTUS decision written by a black man who actually suffered through the Jim Crow south,” writer David Asman stated in his response to Perlman’s antics. “Americans won’t buy any more of this crap.”
“I think the real question here is, why does Ron Perlman, a rich white guy, want to deny minorities the ability to own a firearm?” another Twitter user stated.
Perlman really stepped in it this time. It’s actually pretty funny to think of him scrambling to remove that comment once he realized the majority opinion was written by a black man. This is what happens when you pen knee-jerk reactions to things you don’t really know anything about.
Think he learned his lesson?
Me neither.
