Don’t get too excited from the title, no one from this clown show administration we are all living with here in America left. This has to do with Britain and their Prime Minister Boris Johnson who, might I add, looks like the Mad Hatter from the 1951 movie Alice in Wonderland.
All jokes aside, two of Britain’s most vital and senior Cabinet priests resigned on Tuesday, a move that has cast a dark cloud over Prime Minister Boris Johnson and could mean certain doom for his leadership in the wake of months of scandals.
Health Secretary Sajid Javid along with Treasury chief Rishi Sunak both resigned not long after one another following a day in which the top state leader had to recognize he needed to change his story on how he dealt with charges of sexual misconduct by a senior member from his administration. Here’s what Javid had to say on the matter:
“It is with enormous regret that I must tell you that I can no longer, in good conscience, continue serving in this government. I am instinctively a team player but the British people also rightly expect integrity from their government.”
As for Sunak, he said that the administration should be led skillfully and genuinely in his resignation letter stating:
“The public rightly expects the government to be conducted properly, competently, and seriously. I recognize this may be my last ministerial job, but I believe these standards are worth fighting for and that is why I am resigning.”
Seeing this type of thing unfold in front of us just makes you wonder how many cases like this or worse are out there from all the people in charge, especially here in America. Both Javid and Sunak have been viewed as conceivable administration competitors inside the Conservative Parting on the off chance that Johnson or the Mad Hatter as I like to refer to him is contained out. Their takeoffs were an enormous disaster for the state leader because both were responsible for two of the greatest issues confronting Britain at the moment.
Like the rest of the world the cost of many everyday essential items increases in cost, the cost of living from rent to the grocery bill, and the aftermath of the covid pandemic. As for The Mad Hatter, well the disgrace includes a lawmaker named to a senior situation despite claims of sexual misconduct.
The chokehold has been placed on Johnson and he has begun to feel the squeeze to make sense of what he knew or possibly took part in when it came to the past allegations against legislator Christ Pincher, who also resigned as deputy chief whip Thursday in the midst of grievances that he grabbed and groped two men at an exclusive club.
This sort of behavior baffles me. Who would even think to do something like this and even more, someone who has power or authority? It just doesn’t make sense, but then again, we see Biden acting weird all the time sniffing young people or just acting creepy around them.
As for the void that has been created by the two resignations, conservative administrators will choose new individuals for the board that sets parliamentary standards for the party. A few competitors have proposed they would uphold changing the standards to take into consideration one more statement of disapproval. The current rules require a year between such votes.
Roger Gale, a Senior Conservative legislature and critic of The Mad Hatter, said he would uphold a change of rules of the Conservative 1922 Committee.
“Mr. Johnson has for three days now been sending ministers – in one case a Cabinet minister – out to defend the indefensible, effectively to lie on his behalf. That cannot be allowed to continue,” Gale said. “This prime minister has trashed the reputation of a proud and honorable party for honesty and decency, and that is not acceptable.”
