Until recently, those involved in political campaigns, even on the Democratic side, would occasionally provide constructive criticism of their own party.
Former Senior Obama Advisor David Axelrod is one on the left who mastered spinning the facts to provide cover for his candidate and employer. As President Biden hits the 18-month mark of his failing term in the Oval Office, news outlets are now asking tough(er) questions from those like Axelrod.
The problem for those on the left is Biden’s policies, which many of them support, are not being rolled out/managed well, resulting in confusion and a growing drumbeat for someone to primary the 79 years-old lifelong politician.
As a part-time Chief Executive Officer spending 3-4 days a week at home in Delaware, Biden’s handlers have the impossible job of trying to keep Joe engaged and at least appearing somewhat coherent. His increasing mental acuity issues are affecting his speech and awareness making it difficult for them to schedule public appearances.
The far-left wing of the Democratic Party is applying a lot of pressure on the former moderate U.S. Senator (D-DE), resulting in a conflicted energy policy.
Biden has sent close to $50 billion dollars to the conflict in Europe while increasing sanctions on the former Soviet Union at the same time.
In what is causing the main energy issue at home, Biden continues to block American energy production. To compensate, Joe has been reaching out to Communist/Tyrannical-led nations like Venezuela to cover for the U.S. ending the oil imports from Putin.
This has made the United States weak and dependent on them to provide the energy, which they are not doing.
French President Emmanuel Macron had to break the bad news to Biden that his plan B would not happen. The two nations he planned on ramping up oil production to offset rising gas prices at home—the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia—had noticed Macron that they were already producing at capacity, and thus could not tramp up to help the U.S. out.
David Axelrod was devastating in his observation that the country is “out of control” and that President Biden is not “in command” (via Fox News):
During CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper” on Thursday, host Jake Tapper spoke with CNN senior political commentator and former senior Obama advisor David Axelrod, who echoed President Biden’s critics, admitting that things in the country are “out of control” and that Biden is “not in command.”
“The discussion between the two centered on how Biden is handling many of the political setbacks that have befallen his party and other forces threatening the country under his watch, including 40-year-high inflation, especially amid criticism from his own party.”
Later, Tapper brought up the recent AP-NORC poll which showed that 85% of Americans think that “things in this country are headed in the wrong direction.” Tapper pressed Axelrod, saying, “That frankly points to disaster for Democrats in November.”
Obama is considered by many to be providing his agenda for President Biden to implement. According to the White House in March 2021, the two of them were speaking on a regular basis, discussing policy issues. Former White House Press Security Psaki also said they were expected to do so through the entire term of Biden’s presidency.
One possible reason why Obama is so involved in trying to steer Biden is that he has never been a believer in Joe’s abilities. The 44th U.S. President reportedly spoke with a Democrat, expressing his private doubts about Joe Biden becoming the Democrat presidential nominee in 2020. According to Politico, the former president said: “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f… things up.”
Mr. Obama was also said to have spoken about his own understanding of the 2020 Democrat electorate in Iowa. “And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden,” he reportedly said.
As one who can’t stand leftists, their policies, and their politicians especially, people like David Axelrod and James Carville should be listed to by those of us looking for weak spots in the Democrat’s armor.
The GOP must take back Congress (2022) and the White House (2024), for our Liberty’s sake.
