Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot signed a new executive order on Thursday that places a ban on city agencies from being able to participate in other states’ probes into individuals who come to the city in order to get an abortion.
The avenues which the radical left will take in order to preserve the murder of pre-born children seemingly knows no bounds. Isn’t it gross how much these folks love murder and death? It’s really twisted.
“Through this Executive Order, I am taking yet another step to help to safeguard all those who come to our city for reproductive healthcare,” Lightfoot revealed in a statement. “I am proud of the continued collaboration between Planned Parenthood, the Chicago Department of Public Health, members of City Council and other City departments, who are working tirelessly to ensure that everyone in Chicago is able to receive the care they need and maintain control over their bodies.”
Lightfoot’s new order comes after the “Justice for All Pledge,” which the mayor announced back in May as a means of protecting and creating “fair access to opportunities and resources” which apparently includes abortion after the Supreme Court ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade.
So, I guess the “All” part in this program does not include individuals inside the womb? Then perhaps the mayor needs to be more open about her discrimination against those who have not yet been born and use a different word than “all?”
“Despite what is happening in states around Illinois, abortion is still safe and legal in our state and in Chicago,” Planned Parenthood of Illinois CFO Tonya Tucker went on to say. “Everyone in Illinois, whether they are a resident or not, has a fundamental right to the full range of reproductive health care, including abortion.”
According to Newsmax, the order will prevent any agency with the city from assisting in the investigations conducted by other states that “seeks to impose civil or criminal liability or professional sanctions against a person or entity for providing legal reproductive healthcare in the state of Illinois and/or aiding any person seeking legal reproductive healthcare in Illinois.”
“Lightfoot earlier this year announced the city’s Public Health Department was investing $500,000 to cover lodging, transportation and follow-up care costs of those seeking abortions in Chicago,” Newsmax reported.
It seems that Lightfoot is far more interested in making sure that folks in her city can kill unborn children, legally and without any sort of negative consequence, while crime and shootings continue to spike to ungodly numbers, a problem which she seems to consider just a part of the Chicago experience. That is unacceptable.
The people of her city are being gunned down by criminals at unbelievable rates, and rather than finding ways to preserve life, she’s trying to help destroy more of it. If that is not a total abuse of political power, what is?
Chicago is a prime example of what will happen to the rest of the nation if liberal progressive policies are allowed to run unchecked in other places around the country. Is that really the America we want?
I don’t think so.
