Folks, we are all going to get COVID. It’s just an unfortunate fact of life at this point. It isn’t going away.
It could be argued that we all have already had it multiple times, even if we don’t know it.
With the influx of treatments available, so-called preventative measures, which have largely failed, have given way for most people. Social distancing, masks, even for many folks testing has stopped.
And why not? It’s just a mild cold for most people. Even our ancient commander in chief, Joe Biden had it and with the help of the PAXLOVID, kicked Covid’s ass in short order.
Or did he? Let’s get the latest breaking news via Fox News:
President Biden tested positive for COVID-19 in a “rebound” case on Saturday, according to the White House.
“As described last week, acknowledging the potential for so-called ‘rebound’ COVID positivity observed in a small percentage of patients treated with PAXLOVID the President increased his testing cadence, both to protect people around him and to assure early detection of any return of viral replication,” White House Doctor Dr. Kevin O’Connor said.
Folks, today I tested positive for COVID again.
This happens with a small minority of folks.
I’ve got no symptoms but I am going to isolate for the safety of everyone around me.
I’m still at work, and will be back on the road soon.

O’Connor said in the letter that Biden tested negative for COVID-19 on Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning, Thursday morning, and Friday morning, but tested positive on Saturday morning by an antigen test.
That’s certainly a bit disheartening. PAXLOVID, while it seems to work, is one of the more promising treatments available. To think perhaps there are chinks in its proverbial armor may lead people most vulnerable to rethink taking it.
Of course, it isn’t advertised on every television station continually like ads for HIV drugs and allergy medications, but it is allegedly readily accessible and effective.
The doctor says that the re-infection represents “rebound positivity” and said that Biden has not experienced a reemergence of symptoms, and there’s no need to restart treatment.
Biden will, however, begin “strict isolation procedures,” according to O’Connor.
“Folks, today I tested positive for COVID again. This happens with a small minority of folks. I’ve got no symptoms but I am going to isolate for the safety of everyone around me. I’m still at work, and will be back on the road soon,” Biden said.
Biden tested negative for COVID-19 on Wednesday after contracting the virus last week, prior to the announcement on Saturday afternoon.
How much longer are we going to isolate from a virus that WON’T kill an 80-year-old man? I personally had COVID the past week, and I felt completely normal. My wife didn’t catch it. I didn’t exactly isolate from her.
We also need more concrete information on how many so-called rebound cases we are getting from PAXLOVID.
I wish Joe Biden a speedy recovery from Covid
And I wish America a speedy recovery from Joe Biden

On a lighter note, I think most Americans wouldn’t mind if Biden DIDN’T work for a while. Take a couple months off like Mayor Pete if you want, Joe.
A White House official told Fox News that contact tracing is now underway since Biden tested positive for COVID-19 again.
Previously, White House press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that it didn’t matter where Biden contracted the coronavirus.
“Look, I don’t think that matters, right? I think what matters is we prepared for this moment,” Jean-Pierre said on July 21.
He was previously seen at several White House events without a mask since testing negative for COVID-19 on Wednesday, including at a roundtable discussing the economy on Thursday.
Ironic, no? KJP stressed it wasn’t important where or how Biden got it, now they are scrambling to contact trace. You can’t make this stuff up.
Contact tracing, another failed tool in a toolbelt that didn’t work. Tracing has been largely ineffective and proven to be almost impossible in most cases.
The PAXLOVID treatment is a 5-day course, which perhaps should be extended longer if we are going to have rebound cases like the one Biden is experiencing now.
Either way, Joe has no symptoms and should be fine. Just an important lesson learned in the fight against this mild cold. More antiviral treatment, less testing and let’s move on with life, shall we?
Best wishes for Joe Biden as he recovers, again, from COVID. After all, we can all agree we don’t want Kamala Harris in charge.
