Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott wants answers as to why FBI agents raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home on Monday night, and folks, he ain’t playing around.
“The @FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago is incredibly concerning, especially given the Biden admin’s history of going after parents & other political opponents. This is 3rd World country stuff,” Scott wrote after news about the raid started spreading on social media.
“We need answers NOW. The FBI must explain what they were doing today & why,” he added.
According to a report from Newsmax, agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation participated in a raid on Trump’s estate located in Palm Beach, Florida, where they allegedly seized documents despite the fact the former president himself stated that he had been “working and cooperating with the relevant government agencies.”
On Tuesday morning, Scott did an interview on Fox News where he made it clear that he wanted answers from President Joe Biden, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and Attorney General Merrick Garland about why this raid was conducted.
“Here’s what needs to happen today. Separately, Merrick Garland, Christopher Wray, and Joe Biden need to do a press conference, take all questions, explain what they’re doing, what each of them knew when,” Scott said during his interview Fox News, Florida Politics stated in its report.
“This should scare every American until we get answers. You should have unbelievable concern,” he declared.
Scott’s right on many different levels. There are a lot of reasons that Americans should be up in arms over this raid. First off, it’s clearly a political hit job done to try and tarnish Trump’s image and ruin the work he’s doing to support GOP candidates running for various offices in the federal government.
The House and Senate are up for grabs and the left has done such a horrific job with the Biden administration that they are desperate to do whatever it takes to avoid losing, even tarnishing a person’s reputation beyond repair and having someone arrested or worse, just so they can keep him from running for the White House again.
“Scott, chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, accused the Biden administration of targeting Trump, who has indicated he’ll run again in 2024,” the Newsmax report stated.
“This is unprecedented,” Scott said during his appearance on Fox News. “A former president, a potential opponent to Biden in 2024, his house gets raided. We know the Biden administration targets their opponents. Merrick Garland targets Democrats’ opponents.”
Scott then went on to say that he “got more phone calls last night from people thinking, ‘What is this? Is this like Latin America, what they do with political opponents in Latin America?’”
At the end of the day, we need to be vigilant and watchful over how Trump is being treated by this administration and the government agencies that are now being weaponized by leftists to use, not only against Trump, but us too.
Just look at how the federal government and many liberal Democrats in Congress are trying to arm the IRS with a bunch of new employees, all the while stockpiling ammunition. If that doesn’t send up a red flag, what will?
