The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency recently made an announcement that they had seized a total of 40 pounds of cocaine, which is estimated to be worth somewhere around $1.3 million, on a flight from the Dominican Republic to Philadelphia International Airport.
According to Just the News, there have not been any arrests made in this case and the CBP is still conducting an investigation into the matter after officers discovered 16 brick-shaped packages hidden beneath a blanket stored inside the plane’s equipment space.
Agents apparently probed the bricks, discovering they contained a white powdery substance which then tested positive for the properties that make up cocaine.
“The cocaine weighed just over 41 pounds and had a street value of roughly $1.3 million, the agency said last week. Before the plane landed in Philadelphia, it had made stops in New York City, Miami and San Diego, complicating the investigation,” the report said.
“Joseph Martella, director of the agency’s Philadelphia operations, called the drugs community poison’ and said trafficking organizations ‘work very hard’ to smuggle dangerous substances into the United States,” the report added.
This isn’t the only way that drugs are managing to sneak into the United States. A lot of illegal substances are being smuggled across the southern border, thanks to cartel goons waltzing over with few problems or interruptions. Much of this is happening because of the border crisis, which the current administration is just allowing to continue without taking any sort of action to stop it.
Why are they doing this? Because the radical left is all about open borders. By allowing illegal migrants to flood into America, they are changing the demographics of our nation while also welcoming in hundreds of thousands of new Democratic Party voters.
Just to give you some idea of how bad things are along the southern border, especially concerning drug busts, here’s a statement from Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott’s website that talks about all of the shenanigans he’s dealing with in his part of the U.S.
“Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to more than 287,000 migrant apprehensions and more than 17,700 criminal arrests, with more than 15,100 felony charges reported. In the fight against fentanyl, DPS has seized over 325 million lethal doses throughout the state,” the statement read.
The statement continued, “Operation Lone Star continues to fill the dangerous gaps left by the Biden Administration’s refusal to secure the border. Every individual who is apprehended or arrested and every ounce of drugs seized would have otherwise made their way into communities across Texas and the nation due to President Biden’s open border policies.”
Another report from Just the News revealed that Border Patrol seized enough fentanyl during the month of July to wipe out every single American citizen. That’s how much of the crap is being pushed into the country by the border crisis.
“The agency reported seizing 2,071 pounds of the extremely lethal drug from the Mexican border last month, according to the Washington Times,” the report said. “Two milligrams of fentanyl is lethal, meaning the July seizures turned up enough of the drug to kill 470 million people, nearly 150% of the entire U.S. population.”
And yet our leadership in the White House does nothing to bring this crisis to an end.
