Ever since Joe Biden took office in January 2021, his administration has seemingly done everything in its power to utterly destroy the southern border, which has led to massive illegal immigration, so much so that many have declared it an invasion. No action has been taken by President Biden to alleviate the suffering of those who live along the border we share with Mexico, leaving many communities overwhelmed with no resources to deal with all of the people crossing over into the U.S. What’s really maddening is this is likely on purpose.
The leadership of several states along the border have had enough of the inaction from the president and have taken matters into their own hands, filling up buses with illegal migrants and shipping them to Washington, D.C., and New York.
Now liberals are finally getting a taste of their own medicine. In fact, the very liberal Mayor of D.C., Muriel Bowser, has now declared a public health emergency in response to all of the illegal migrants flooding into her city sent courtesy of Texas and Arizona. Maybe the administration will finally take some action to end this crisis. Not likely.
Remember how I said this is probably being done on purpose? What I meant by that is Democrats are choosing to go with an open-border approach to the crisis, allowing illegal migrants to come into the country in extraordinary numbers so they can change the demographics of the country and create new Democrat voters ahead of the midterms and the 2024 presidential race. These people don’t care about migrants. To them, they’re just votes and nothing more.
According to information from Just the News, “In addition to declaring the emergency, the mayor said her administration is creating a department to address the arrival of an estimated tens-of-thousands of immigrants in the past weeks and months.”
“We’re putting in place a framework that would allow us to have a coordinated response with our partners,” Bowser went on to say during a press briefing, according to a report published by news blog site DCist.
Bowser then said that the majority of individuals who arrive in the nation’s capital will then “move on,” however the program’s primary objective will be to “make sure we have a humane, efficient, welcome process that will allow people to move on to their final destination.”
A report published by the Washington Post says Republican Govs. Greg Abbott of Texas and Doug Ducey of Arizona have thus far sent hundreds of buses to the D.C. area, which has translated to 11,000 migrants to the city.
Abbott commented on his actions, saying they are attempts to release some of the economic burden his state is facing with the border crisis and trying to find ways to accommodate and care for the folks crossing over. However, he’s also making it clear that the main reason behind busing migrants to major cities all over the country is to make a political point. What’s that point? The immigration crisis does not just impact the states along the border, but the entire country.
“Bowser has requested help from the D.C. National Guard to assist with the arrival of migrants, but the requests have been denied by the Pentagon, citing Guardsmen not prepared for such duty and jeopardizing troop readiness,” Just the News reported.
“Regardless of the federal response – which I think has been lacking in some respects – that the District of Columbia would continue to work with partners to advance what we need and ensure our systems in D.C. are not broken by a crisis that is certainly not of our making,” Bowser also went on to say.
The new office will be known as the Office of Migrant Services and is set to be put inside the Department of Human Services. The report revealed Bowser will fund the new office with $10 million. She will be reimbursement for part of the expense through FEMA.
