President Trump made a surprise visit to Washington D.C just weeks after the 45th president was raided by FBI agents at his estate in Mar-a-Lago Florida. The media was in a complete frenzy and made several speculations about why he took a visit to the Capital.
On Sunday, Trump made an unscheduled arrival at Dulles International Airport airport which is 26 miles west of Washington, DC. Trump departed to DC from his golf resort in Bedminster, Virginia. A video that was uploaded to social media and shared by a freelance journalist based in Washington, DC under the handle @PenguinSix showed President Trump stepping out of his jet and getting into a black SUV. It appears that members of Mr. Trump’s Secret Service protection as well as a marked police cruiser from the Loudon County, Virginia, sheriff’s department met him when he arrived.

Many speculated why Trump made his visit to DC and some users on Twitter thought Trump’s shoe choice gave them clues. The Independent had more details to add to Trump’s surprise visit:
“It’s not often Trump does anything without fanfare, so this makes me think it’s a narrative he can’t control” the tweet read, adding: “He also doesn’t typically travel in golf attire, so I found that interesting. I’m sure we’ll find out more soon.”
Others meanwhile pointed out that Mr Trump, especially as president, chose to wear white golf shoes when not on one of his golf courses – thereby suggesting the outfit at Dulles Airport could not provide clues to his trip.

Liberal commentators believed Trump was about to get arrested in DC, others claimed he was taking a trip to Walter Reed hospital. However, Trump soon squelched any rumors and announced he was in DC for a “work trip”. The 45th president took to Truth Social and was quoted saying “Working today at Trump Washington DC on the Potomac River. What an incredible place!”
Trump’s visit to DC was his second visit to the nation’s capital in the last two months. Back in July he also took a visit to DC to be a headline speaker at the America First Policy Institute where he gave a speech regarding the current status of the United States under the Biden admin. Seeing Trump back in DC is very refreshing for many Americans and could be a major sign that Trump isn’t riding into the sunset anytime soon but rather he has unfinished business in DC.
