Poor Liz Cheney, she is having a bad year. No, not just because of her primary bid to run for reelection; she lost that by a hilarious margin to a Trump backed candidate named Harriet Hageman. No, not because she embarrassed herself by hosting the “made for tv” January 6 show. The ratings on that were CNN like in scope. Not because she has no political future except a likely further embarrassment with a Presidential run in 2024, which will be hilarious by the way.
Poor Liz has an illness. It’s called “Trump Derangement Syndrome”, and she has a raging case. The poor woman wakes up every day with Donald Trump living rent free in her head. Of course, that head space is as spacious as one of the rooms at the Trump International Hotel in Vegas, so there’s plenty of room for him to stretch his legs. Recently Liz went on what’s left of CNN and spoke about 2020 and Donald Trump, two of her favorite topics. Check this out from Breitbart:
Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) said Monday on CNN’s “The Lead” that Donald Trump’s refusal to concede his defeat in the 2020 presidential election put the nation in a dangerous “no man’s land.”

What does that even mean Liz? What does no man’s land mean in terms of the 2020 election? Despite the claims that Trump planned to stay at the White House, and his reticence to concede, which was his right to contest the results, the transfer of power happened. Even a failed coup attempt didn’t stop it. Just kidding, January 6 was no coup, nor an insurrection. It was a protest.
CNN anchor Jake Tapper asked about New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman’s new book claiming that Trump planned to stay at the White House after the election.
Cheney said, “I obviously haven’t seen her book, but sometimes people will say, ‘Well, you know, what happened wasn’t that big a deal because if Mike Pence had rejected a slate of electors, the Supreme Court would have sorted it out. There are a lot of ways people sort of say this wasn’t as dangerous as it really was. And when you hear something like that, I think you have to recognize that we were in no man’s land and territory we’ve never been in before as a nation.”
If Jake Tapper is going to lob softballs at Liz Cheney, you’d think Liz would at least bring a bat to the interview, but apparently all of the bats are in her belfry.
One need only look to 2017 to find the Democrats protesting the validity of an election, yet their collective memories are short when it comes to things like that.
There was zero chance Mike Pence was going to reject any slate of electors, as it was stunningly clear that Pence tucked tail and ran to save his own political hide as soon as the election results came in. To even suggest that was a possibility now is just an attempt to remind people of the debacle in 2020. What Liz fails to take into account is we don’t need to be reminded; the American people are living with the results every day.
