After champagne socialists around the country have spent years dictating to us that illegal migrants should enjoy an open border may be in for a shocking awakening to reality.
As record-breaking numbers of illegal migrants continue to pour across the border from Mexico into the USA, border towns have become like giant migrant camps as local authorities struggle to cope and towns run out of resources.
All the while, liberal mouthpieces and Democrat leaders have continually called out for more and claimed that their towns, cities, or even homes would be “sanctuaries” for illegal immigrants.
Now, thanks to plain-speaking Florida governor, Ron DeSantis, champagne socialists who live on the luxurious island of Martha’s Vineyard are going to get the chance to show the extent of their generous hospitality.

Two planes have arrived on the island so far, carrying around 50 Venezuelan migrants to the affluent community where liberals like the Obamas, Oprah Winfrey, and Larry David all have homes.
“Yes, Florida can confirm the two planes with illegal immigrants that arrived in Martha’s Vineyard today were part of the state’s relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations,” confirmed DeSantis.
The anti-woke governor went on to say that liberal states like “Massachusetts, New York and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country” because they had shown support for Biden’s open border approach.
“As you may know, in this past legislative session the Florida Legislature appropriated $12 million to implement a program to facilitate the transport of illegal immigrants from this state consistent with federal law,” he continued.
Speaking to Fox News on Wednesday, former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo remarked that he doubted the pro-open borders liberals would be very welcoming to the migrants once they began to realize how the mass influx of illegals can affect communities, their resources, and the quality of life for local people:
“These are all sanctuary cities until they’re in their sanctuary. I doubt they will embrace them.”
One migrant told the Vineyard Gazette that he was an economic migrant (thus not really a refugee, fleeing for his life) and walked to the USA on foot to seek a better life.

“We’re immigrants. We came here because of the situation in our country, for the economy, for work, for lots of things. I came here walking. We went through 10 different countries until we got to Texas.”
While wishing to better oneself financially is not in any way morally wrong, there are legal routes for immigrants wishing to find work in the United States to take – legal routes which foreign workers from elsewhere follow without question.
True to form, Dem. State Senator, Julian Cyr has already begun to moan about the new arrivals – despite their numbers only amounting to around 50. Small border towns like El Paso, meanwhile, have to deal with around 1,300 migrants arriving on a daily basis.
“Developing situation on #MarthasVineyard where migrants arrived via charter flight from TX this afternoon. Islanders working hard to provide food + shelter,” Tweeted Cyr on Wednesday night.
“Just like the reverse freedom rides in the 1960s, this endeavor is a cruel ruse that is manipulating families who are seeking a better life.
“No one should be capitalizing on the difficult circumstances that these families are in and contorting that for the purposes of a “gotcha” moment.”
The situation comes days after Joe Biden opted to extend special protection for Venezuelan illegal immigrants, making it far harder for Border Force to turn them away.
