Americans have the right to refuse a COVID vaccination. Some people don’t want to feel like guinea pigs trying out a new drug (that doesn’t seem to be all that effective).
Numerous NFL players have come out publicly and said they will not get the jab. Nothing happened to them, other than being scorned by lefties on social media.
But now, things are getting bad. This veteran NFL assistant coach just got canned.
As reported on LionWire, from USAToday:
The Minnesota Vikings have seized the NFC North spotlight away from the growing dysfunction in Green Bay. Per ESPN’s Courtney Cronin, the Vikings have fired offensive line coach and run game coordinator Rick Dennison just before the start of training camp because the veteran coach refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Here are the details, via ESPN:
EAGAN, Minn. — After refusing to receive a vaccine for COVID-19, Rick Dennison is out as a Minnesota Vikings assistant coach, sources told ESPN on Friday.
Dennison had served as the Vikings’ offensive line coach/run game coordinator the past two seasons. In a statement Friday, the Vikings said they were still in discussions with Dennison about the league’s COVID-19 protocols.
Another coach in the league, New England Patriots co-offensive line coach Cole Popovich, also won’t be with his team in 2021 in a decision related to the COVID-19 vaccine and NFL guidelines, league sources confirmed to ESPN.
The vaccine is required for all Tier 1 staff, including coaches, front-office executives, equipment managers and scouts. Players are not required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine but will face strict protocols during training camp and throughout the season that vaccinated players will be able to forgo.
I am very curious to see where this goes. Is this a league mandate or can individual teams handle it differently if staff members refuse to take the vaccine? https://t.co/oAUfpCp0AZ

Here’s more from Fox News:
The NFL issued a memo to all 32 clubs on Thursday informing them that COVID outbreaks among unvaccinated players could result in the forfeiture of games and loss of play.
Commissioner Roger Goodell said in the memo that the league does not intend to add another week to accommodate games that need to be rescheduled because of COVID outbreaks. It further stated that outbreaks among unvaccinated players could result in forfeiture and loss of pay for both teams if the games are canceled.
The NFL, like pretty much all sports right now, has a major problem when it comes to appeasing far-left radicals. Heck, the Cleveland Indians are now the Cleveland Guardians because some people were offended by the 100-yea-old name.
At the end of the day, these are the type of actions, suffered by Dennison, that make America look like a laughingstock.
Talk about bush league.
