So remember earlier this week when President Joe Biden said the crisis at the border wasn’t really all that important, despite millions of illegal immigrants crossing into the country, bringing drugs, spikes in human trafficking, and child abuse with them?
Well, the family of a Border Patrol agent killed in Texas on Wednesday when his ATV crashed during a high-speed chase with a group of illegal immigrants might say differently.
According to the Daily Wire, the U.S. Border Patrol has not yet identified the agent who died but did note that he had two kids. This is a person who would likely be alive today if the government did its job to build the fence, enforce immigration law, and work toward dissuading folks from trying to cross the border.
“On December 7, 2022, at approximately 1:00 am, a Border Patrol agent assigned to the McAllen Station patrolling the international boundary on an all-terrain vehicle was tracking a group of subjects that illegally crossed the border when he was involved in a crash near Mission, Texas,” U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a statement.
“He was found unresponsive by fellow agents who immediately initiated life-saving efforts and requested EMS. The agent was taken to an area hospital by ambulance where he later passed away,” it continued.

“The death of an Agent who died while securing our nation’s border is a tremendous loss for our organization and our nation, our prayers are with his family and co-workers during this difficult time,” Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz went on to say.
Just a day ago, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked President Biden why he would be paying a visit to Arizona, a border state, without making a trip to the actual border itself to check out what’s happening there for himself.
To which Biden replied, “Because there are more important things going on. They’re going to invest billions of dollars in a new enterprise.”
WOW: Joe Biden, when asked why he won't visit the border during a visit to Arizona today, says, "Because there's more important things going on."

A Twitter post from the Border Patrol Union published on Tuesday slammed Biden and his reluctance to put the border crisis higher on his list of priorities.
“Visiting an ice cream shop: Very important,” the account zinged. “Visiting our border, where illegal immigration, deaths, escapes and fentanyl smuggling set new records non-stop with thousands dying as a result: Not important.”
“The death of the Border Patrol agent also comes as many predict migrant crossings along the southern border are about to worsen. Title 42, a Trump-era policy that allows agents to turn away migrants due to COVID concerns, is set to expire on December 21,” the Daily Wire reported.
A total of fifteen state attorneys general petitioned a federal judge to step in.
“Because invalidation of the Title 42 Orders will directly harm the States, they now seek to intervene to offer a defense of the Title 42 policy so that its validity can be resolved on the merits, rather than through strategic surrender,” the court filing stated.
“[B]order states like Arizona and Texas will face increased migrant flows and increasd [sic] releases of aliens if the Title 42 process is terminated. Those aliens will flow to other States, too,” it went on to say.
Biden isn’t intervening in the border crisis because it’s likely part of a Democratic Party strategy to help fill out their voter rolls by allowing illegal immigrants into the country freely, hook them up with welfare, and encourage them to find ways to vote in elections they have no right to participate in.
And obviously, the president does not care how many lives have to be destroyed in the process so long as the progressive agenda is pushed forward.
