After facing tons of ridicule for not bothering to move a muscle concerning the immigration crisis happening along the southern border, President Joe Biden has finally decided, almost two years after the whole mess started, that he should probably pay a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border. The trip is scheduled for January 8, though agents working for Border Patrol don’t believe anything productive is going to come out of the trip that will help bring an end to the surge of illegal migrants coming into the country.
Man, the fact it took 2 years for this guy to get off his backside and actually go down to the border tells you that he’s known all along how bad the situation is, but simply did not care. Either because he’s incompetent and generally lazy, or maybe, it’s part of a strategy to help boost the Democratic Party by screwing around with our nation’s demographics?
Either way, it’s unacceptable.
TheBlaze reported that Biden spoke with the Wall Street Journal Tuesday, revealing he was planning to lock in place a plan to visit the southern border.
“We’re working out the details now,” he pointed out.
The president said in the interview that he wants to “see what’s going on” and added that he hopes to witness “peace and security.”
Seriously?
Has he really not been keeping up at all with what is going on at the border? Crime rates are surging because thousands of illegal migrants are crossing over from Mexico into the United States every single day. Drugs and human trafficking incidents have risen sharply. All of this has been covered in the daily news. Well, mostly conservative, independent news, because the mainstream outlets only want to push liberalism.
There is no peace and security to be had with this much chaos and violence happening on a regular basis.
“The president was scheduled to give a speech on Wednesday afternoon about border security and enforcement. During his remarks, Biden confirmed that he would visit the southern border Sunday as part of a scheduled trip to Mexico City to meet with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for the North American Leaders’ Summit,” TheBlaze reported. “According to a statement by the president’s former press secretary, Jen Psaki, Biden last visited the U.S.-Mexico border in 2008 while driving by it during his campaign.”
“After two years, it is past time Biden come to the border to survey firsthand the chaos he created,” National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Hopefully our country will get a positive outcome from the president’s visit, but I won’t hold my breath.”
“While I expect President Biden will deflect and possibly lie about his failures, similar to what both of his White House press secretaries have done, I am happy that certain media outlets have attempted to present the truth to the American people and be the watchdogs necessary to bring about positive change, which is undoubtedly the catalyst for this visit,” Judd continued.
Chad Wolf, Security Secretary for Homeland Security spoke with the Daily Caller and said, “In order to truly understand the depths of the crisis, I encourage the president to visit the overcrowded facilities and engage in real conversations with Border Patrol agents. Under no circumstances should facilities be sanitized or conversations be scripted.”
Two agents who work for the Border Patrol who asked to remain anonymous, went on to tell the right-leaning news outlet that it’s pretty normal for facilities at the border to be emptied before politicians come by for a visit, creating the fantasy that things are actually under control. Clearly they are not. They then said it’s not likely Biden will even seen the full extent of the crisis.
“That’s what they always do. Any time some brass from D.C. comes, the tents get emptied, everyone gets released/processed expeditiously to give the illusion that it’s under control,” one of the agents alleged.
This is no doubt a move designed to get some of his detractors off his back. We all know he likely has his marching orders from the powers that be, and they include ensuring that this little demographic experiment continues uninterrupted.
