A report that was published on Sunday revealed that President Joe Biden is set to appoint a former COVID czar to take over the position of chief of staff as it is expected that the man currently holding that position, Ron Klain, is going to step down over the course of the upcoming weeks. However, a formal announcement has yet to be made concerning this move.
Sources spoke with the Washington Post, saying Biden is thinking of replacing Klain with Jeff Zients.
“Zients served as COVID response coordinator for the first year-plus of Biden’s presidency, leading the charge in promoting vaccinations. In the spring of 2022, when Biden announced Ashish Jha would be taking over the role, the president praised Zients as ‘a man of service and an expert manager,'” The Daily Wire Said.
The report continued, “So far, the White House remains tightlipped about a chief of staff overhaul. Still, senior administration officials told The New York Times that Klain has been telling colleagues privately he planned to step down ever since the midterm elections.”
Insiders then told WaPo that Zients came back to the White House during the fall of 2022, not long after the midterm elections, to help Klain manage staff turnover. Klain has been assigning Zients different projects, which many have viewed as the current chief of staff preparing his potential replacement for the job.
“Zients established himself as a wealthy investor who took on various senior roles in the Obama administration and served on Facebook’s board of directors. A Wall Street Journal analysis in March 2021 showed Zients listed assets worth at least $89.3 million, placing him among the richest of Biden’s top aides,” the report added.
If Zients does end up in the chief of staff position, he will be facing a rather uphill battle as the classified documents scandal surrounding the president’s handling of various materials that date back to his time as vice president continue to be found within his private residences. One batch of these documents were discovered in the office of a Democratic think tank, another inside his garage, and now more were found in the Wilmington, Delaware home.
“The White House has repeatedly insisted the president and his attorneys are fully cooperating with the National Archives and Justice Department as an investigation turns up more classified documents at Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware, residence and a think tank office dating back as far back as his time in the Senate,” the report concluded.
One of the big concerns about this scandal is that Penn-Biden Center was paid a whopping $54 million from China, which might have allowed them to influence American policy and make the country significantly weaker. If that is indeed the case, then this could be a treasonous act. What we know for sure is that the president and his son Hunter have significant ties to China, thus, at least to some degree, someone from the Chinese Communist Party is influencing American politics.
