Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden said during a campaign stop in California on Wednesday that the United States has an “obligation” to give healthcare to illegal aliens.
Biden noted, “I think that anyone who is in a situation where they’re in need of healthcare, regardless of whether they are documented or undocumented, we have an obligation to see that they are cared for. That’s why I think we need more clinics around the country.”
Biden dismissed the notion that many illegal aliens come into the United States illegally through the southern border despite the fact that immigration arrests along the border are at a 12-year high.

Joe Biden won’t give details on how he plans to offer a public healthcare option for Americans.
Throughout his tour of Iowa and South Carolina, Biden has repeatedly stressed how healthcare is now a “human right” and that he will help finish the job of Obamacare by creating the ability for Americans to buy into Medicare instead of relying on private health insurance.
In South Carolina, Biden spoke again about a Medicare buy-in program, but declined to point to a specific bill. He said in Iowa City last week: “I don’t have time; I don’t want to keep you standing any longer.”
