Bill Maher is a leftist, that much we know. He is also extremely intelligent, and not afraid to call both sides of the aisle out on their nonsense. Time and again Maher has ripped the current political climate in America. It is refreshing because while Maher is a lefty lib, he at least is willing to admit when his side has lost its marbles. Considering the size and scope of his platform, any positive voice that is speaking common sense and reason is a good thing regardless of political affiliation. Friday on his show “Real Time, With Bill Maher”, he compared and contrasted the current woke movement with another famously failed, destructive movement, communism, and took a blow torch to both. I hope lefties everywhere took notes. Check this out.
Bill Maher continued his war against the woke mob Friday night.
Maher, who is openly liberal, has been on a jihad against the woke cancer destroying this country, and he continued to fire shots on the latest episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher.”
“The problem with communism and some very recent ideologies here at home is that they think you can change reality by screaming it, that you can bend human nature by holding your breath, but that’s the difference between reality and your mommy. Lincoln once said, ‘You can repeal all past history but you still cannot repeal human nature,’ but he’s canceled now, so f*ck him,” Maher told his audience Friday night.
Maher further added with a joking tone that freshman orientation is no different than the re-education of ideological offenders under brutal communist regimes. As for America’s Red Guard? Maher says it certainly exists and it does its “rampaging on Twitter.”

Of course, Maher is correct. The left will shout down anyone that holds a different opinion or dare stray from the popular narrative. Much like a petulant child that doesn’t get what they want at the grocery store (who can afford candy, or eggs), the left will simply get louder without offering a logical, calm, measured argument. If leftists would look themselves in the mirror and see beyond the pink hair, nose-rings and rainbow t-shirt, they would see that both sides have some valid points. Of course, we have many more than they do, but we have to start somewhere. Maher is starting with a blowtorch.
Bill Maher is one of the very few people in Hollywood who refuses to bend. These days, simply speaking the truth in Hollywood is an act of rebellion.
Desperate situations create unexpected alliances, but at this point, there’s no doubt Maher is firmly on the side of people who refuse to accept this garbage. Believe it or not, biology is real and we shouldn’t have to pretend it’s not. Yes, you have free speech, and no, we won’t ever pretend that we don’t. These simple things should be universally agreed upon.
Yet, they’re not and that’s why we’re in the situation we find ourselves in today.
Culturally we must take wins where we can get them. If a lefty with a platform like Bill Maher or Dave Chappelle, or even a weird Brit like Russell Brand is willing to speak out and point out the absurdities of today’s cultural climate, the tide will slowly start to turn back to common sense. Sort of like waking up from a fevered dream, people will rub their eyes and tell their kids about the bad dream, except the dram was real. We need people like Bill Maher to shake these people awake before it’s too late.
