The State of the Union address was this week, and in case anyone didn’t already know, it’s not good. Or confusion if you are just judging on Joe Biden’s behavior and mental state. As expected, the viewing public also wasn’t tuning in, as Joe got the lowest ratings in over 30 years. Apparently failing as a president isn’t enough as Biden also is a failure on network television. Check this out.
Nielsen data estimates that 27.3 million Americans watched Biden’s SOTU, a 28 percent drop from the 38.2 million who watched in 2022, the Associated Press reported. Biden’s audience was the second smallest in the past 30 years. The only address with lower ratings was Biden’s unofficial SOTU speech in April 2021, a few months after he took office.
A poll by CNN found 72 percent of Americans reacted positively to Biden’s speech and 41 percent said their reaction was very positive. Biden’s positive reaction was lower than former Presidents Trump, Obama and Bush in the third year of their presidency.
Biden’s largest audience came from Fox News viewers, where 4.69 million people tuned in, followed by ABC News with 4.41 million, NBC with 3.78 million, CBS with 3.64 million, MSNBC with 3.55 million and CNN with 2.4 million. Biden’s speech was carried by 16 television networks.
RATINGS CRASH: Biden's State of the Union TV viewership fell by 29%.
The most popular president in history, folks!

It should come as no surprise that Biden’s ratings were low. He simply isn’t compelling television. Biden stutters, stammers, rants and rambles off script constantly, often babbling unintelligible gibberish that didn’t make it cleanly from his failing brain to his dry mouth. When he isn’t chewing on his word salad, Biden is lying. Half truths about employment and the economy, and misrepresentation aimed at the GOP on issues such as Social Security simply turn people off. The American people know what is going on outside their window. To have Joe Biden tell them the sun is shining and everything is fine while people struggle to buy groceries and put gas in their car is just insulting.
It was embarrassing and painful to watch as Biden alternated between screaming about Chinese President Xi, to lamenting fentanyl deaths as Republicans screamed at him from the gallery, to famously declaring that America will need oil for at least 10 more years, resulting in hysterical laughter from both sides of the aisle. The problem is, he wasn’t making a joke. At least not in his mind. That is his plan, and he is taking us on a ride to disaster.
BIDEN, screaming: "Name me a world leader who changed places with Xi Jinping. Name me one. NAME ME ONE."

Biden’s second State of the Union address, which acted as a soft launch for a 2024 presidential bid, included statements about the economy, gun violence, police brutality in light of Tyre Nichols’ death, health care, the workforce and more.
The speech was met with strong reactions from politicians as Democrats cheered his calls to ban “assault weapons” and codify Roe v. Wade, and Republicans booed his comments on the border and Social Security.
As compelling as President Trump was behind the microphone, Biden is the complete opposite and the ratings reflect it. Americans are getting tired of being lied to and told everything is peachy when they can barely afford peaches. 2024 can’t come soon enough.
