The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department has opened up an investigation into a shooting that occurred at a gas station where a man was killed while trying to steal another man’s car. Well, as the saying goes, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. It’s hard to feel sympathy for the bad guys. The level of entitlement one has to possess to think they have the right to take property they did not work to earn is off the charts.
Of course, there are other reasons people steal stuff. He could’ve been a drug addict in desperate need of his next fix. He also could have been in dire financial straits. Still no justification for attempting to deprive someone else of what they paid for with their own money.
According to TheBlaze, the incident transpired at the Zoom Gas Station, located near the intersection of Tucker Blvd. and O’Fallon Street around 6 in the morning on Wednesday.
“During a media briefing later that day, police said that the dead suspect was a black man in his 20s who had not yet been identified and that the driver was a 48-year-old white man,” the report said. “When police arrived, they found the man with a gunshot wound to his chest.”
A report put out by KTVI-TV said that the man fired several shots at the would-be carjacker, noting he stumbled away and then fell to the ground where moments later he took his last breath. He’s now standing before his Maker and something tells me the conversation they’re having is not a pleasant one.
“Police said the deceased carjacker drove a white Toyota Camry to the gas station before he was shot. They told KTVI that part of their investigation would involve reviewing footage from surveillance cameras at the convenience store that likely captured the shooting,” TheBlaze continued.
Investigators recovered both weapons involved in the incident. Captain Pierre Benoist provided information on how motorists can avoid becoming a victim of a carjacking.
“We recommend that everyone be aware of their surroundings, take their key fobs with them while they are at the gas stations because there has been somewhat of a spike in these types of incidents citywide,” he advised.
Patrons of the establishment who spoke with the media revealed how shocked they are by the current high level of crime in the city.
“When we gonna get some help out here?” Jamie Faulkner to KMOV-TV asked. “You making citizens and people defend themselves, you know, and unfortunately, this is what comes about.”
This is Democratic Party policy in action, ladies and gentlemen. Black Lives Matter wanted the left to defund police and a lot of major cities did just that at the behest of politicians desperate for reelection. This, of course, led to less money for law enforcement departments to work with, along with hostile work environments which led many cops to call it quits. Now there are fewer police on the streets and criminals are living it up.
If you want to see change, stop voting for the same old thing over and over again. No more soft on crime left-wing radicals.
