On Monday, according to the Post Millennial, three former members of the Rust film crew filed a lawsuit against embattled actor Alec Baldwin, making the claim that when he fired off the shot that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the movie’s set back in October of 2021, they sustained “blast injuries.” Is this more collateral damage from Baldwin’s big blunder, or are these just individuals looking to get rich off tragedy?
“Ross Addiego, Doran Curtin, and Reese Price witnessed the shooting, and are seeking compensatory and punitive damages from Baldwin, as well as Rust Movie Productions, LLC and El Dorado Pictures, for ‘hearing loss, temporary deafness, and vibrational shock,” among other things,” the report said.
A report from FOX News says that the plaintiffs in the lawsuit make the case that the injuries they sustained on set were “caused by Defendants’ failure to follow industry safety rules.” Well, I don’t think that’s going to be something anyone would argue against, seeing as how that’s precisely why Baldwin is now facing charges over the death of Hutchins.
The crew members have accused the actor, Rust Movie Productions, and El Dorado Pictures of having “cut corners; ignored reports of multiple, unscripted firearms discharges; and persisted, rushed and understaffed, to finish the film.”
The plaintiffs pointed out that despite the fact Rust is a “gun-heavy” project, those who were in charge, including Assistant Director David Halls, failed repeatedly to “properly distribute” safety information regarding the weapons and received numerous “safety complaints.”
“No one examined the revolver before Halls handed it to Defendent Baldwin,” the lawsuit went on to say, adding later on that the actor, “did not request that anyone verify or demonstrate the revolver’s safety before this exchange” and “did not ask to see whether ammunition was present inside the revolver’s chamber – despite his knowledge of the observable differences between a live and dummy round, and a loaded and unloaded chamber.”
The crew then began filming a scene that takes place in a small church when Baldwin started to practice his draw before pulling the trigger.
“The sound from the live discharge inside the small church was deafening, causing Plaintiffs to suffer blast injuries,” the lawsuit went on to say. “After the shooting, Defendants offered no diagnostic services or any meaningful emotional or mental health services to Plaintiffs.”
Instead, the plaintiffs, “independently sought support in dealing with their injuries which include, but are not limited to, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.”
Baldwin himself has, on several occasions, denied pulling the trigger. Guess the gun just went off all by itself, right? Isn’t that what the liberal left has stated over and over again? It seems pretty clear that he pulled the trigger and that it was his own stupidity and negligence that led to the death of Hutchins. He just refuses to take any sort of personal responsibility for his actions, a typical character trait of the radical left.
What do you expect from someone who has essentially made their entire fortune by making fun of former President Donald Trump? His impression of him is just plain outright awful too.
