Apparently, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver KJ Osborn is, in fact, Batman. Or so it would seem after he and three others braved a burning car to save a complete stranger from certain death.
We live in a time when many professional athletes are flashing guns (Ja Morant), beating up teenagers (Ja Morant, again), and allegedly flashing a gun at a woman (Joe Mixon) among others. What is the fascination with some of these guys and guns? The only guns KJ Osborn carry are attached to his shoulder sockets, and he flashed those guns after his Uber happened upon a head on collision in Austin, Texas Sunday night. Check this out.
In Austin, Texas, Sunday evening, Osborn’s Uber ride drove by a vehicle that had suffered a head-on collision and was up in flames with its passenger still inside. Springing to action, Osborn rushed to the burning car and helped drag the man out to safety before calling responders to the scene.
Osborn posted photos of the car on fire and a note of gratitude to three accompanying folks that helped save the man’s life.

Who does that? Who just abandons their own safety and rushes to a burning car for a complete stranger? A bad-ass named KJ Osborn and the three folks that assisted, that’s who! In this me-first age, especially with celebrities and athletes, it makes you have hope that perhaps humanity isn’t circling the drain when you see stories like this. When you include exactly who Osborn gave credit to, it can change your perspective on what is important and who ultimately is in charge. Osborn went on to say:
“Most of the time the saying goes ‘wrong place wrong time.’ But this time I believe God had me, us, at the right place at the exact right time.
“Last night myself and these 3 absolute heroes helped save a man’s life by rescuing him from a vehicle up in flames after a bad crash. A situation I’d never imagine being a part of in a million years.
“I’ll leave you with this. God is real. And His LOVE is real. He will send his angels to be camped around you and provide you with his grace and mercy.”
If that doesn’t make the hair on your arm stand up and give you some hope for humanity, then you are probably already lost, or a liberal. Not sure which is worse.
KJ Osborn is an emerging young star in Minnesota. He had some clutch grabs last season, playing opposite superstar receiver Justin Jefferson, but none of Jefferson or Osborn’s grabs will be more important than the one KJ and the three other people made Sunday night in Austin, Texas. God indeed will put people in situations that show their true character, and Osborn and the three other heroes showed theirs.
