During an appearance Tuesday on the infamous ABC Network liberal echo chamber, The View, actor Billy Porter lost his ever-loving mind and went into full harpy screech mode screaming that “the leading cause of death in children are guns.” Needless to say, a quick fact check from the folks at Breitbart News discovered this claim to be 100 percent false. I mean, just about anyone with a fully functioning brain cell would know this, but hey, liberals aren’t always playing with a full deck, are they?

Why do left-wingers in our culture, such as actors and other entertainers seem to hate guns so much? Well, the answer to that question is simple. They’ve been indoctrinated with anti-gun propaganda cooked up by progressives in the media and the ivory tower of academic institutions who push a specific agenda of disarmament. Progressives want the populace to be unarmed because they would become more more docile and easy to control.
Do not forget that the cult of the left truly believe they can perfect the human race through a ruling class of elites and the right set of laws. Those who don’t follow along with that program are standing in the way of utopia in their minds. In reality, they think they know what’s best for us all, and thus, they will do whatever it takes to make that wacky vision a reality. Since those of us who live in reality know it’s not possible to perfect humanity. Only God can accomplish that kind of miracle.
But those who resist are preventing that goal from being reached, so they need to be forced on board, at gun point if necessary. Remember, it’s for your own good. And that’s impossible to do if those same individuals have tools to aide in their resistance.
Okay, back to Porter.
“Porter’s claim became a common one among leftists and non-fact-checking moderates in the summer of 2022, after a study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was widely reported in late May of that year,” Breitbart reported. “For example, FOX News ran a storytitled Guns now the leading cause of death for US children, per CDC.’ The story noted that CDC figures show firearm-related deaths of people ages 0-19 totaled 4,368 in 2020, while motor vehicle deaths for the same age range totaled 4,036.”
President Joe Biden reacted to the figures during a speech delivered on June 2, 2022, saying, “guns are the number one killer of children.” Has Biden ever met a lie he didn’t love to tell?
“However, Breitbart News dug into in the CDC figures and ascertained that the only way to claims made by Biden and others — the same claim which Porter screamed on The View — is to count 18 and 19-year-olds as children. But if one does a custom search on the CDC website and adjusts the category of children to include only those aged 0-17, only those below voting and or military age, then the outcome completely flips,” the report continued. “One sees that the number of firearm-related deaths for children aged 0-17 was 2,281 in 2020, while the number of motor vehicle deaths for the same ages was 2,503.”
A search of the data on the CDC website, with parameters wide enough to count individuals aged 0-19, you can see that the number of unintentional car deaths among kids was 27 times higher than unintentional gun deaths in the same age group.
It needs to be noted that Porter bellowed about gun deaths and children during a segment of the program that was dedicated to Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’ actions against drag queen shows for kids.
After his conniption fit, Porter doubled down, saying, “I know it’s the morning and I’m not supposed to be screaming, but they’re guns. Not drag queens. Leave us alone.”
