Recently, Scott Adams, the creator of the classic comic strip “Dilbert” made some rather controversial claims about race and racism, and subsequently found himself cancelled, fired, and shunned by fans and publishers that had been enjoying his work for decades.
Whether you think his comments merited cancellation or not, one would think if someone else prominent, with a huge following said almost the exact same thing, they too would be about to face the wrath of cancel culture. Guess not, especially if they are an avowed leftist. Guess what is good for the goose isn’t always good for the gander. Oh, and libs are hypocrites. There’s that. Check this out.
Robin DiAngelo penned the title “White Fragility,” in which she exudes her white guilt.
She’s now calling on people of color to stay away from white people, warning that whites don’t like them and could hurt them.
DiAngelo made the remarks on Zoom with other so-called anti-racists:
Stay away from people who are a different color than you.
That certainly smells like segregation. Of course, context matters, but when the full context is revealed, it doesn’t look any better. Was Scott Adams sin worthy of cancellation? Despite openly supporting BLM and being vocal about equality, Adams was responding to a Rasmussen Poll that showed a large percent of polled people of color think it ISN’T ok to be white.
In February, Adams argued that white people should “get the hell away from black people.” The Dilbert creator made said comments amid a Rasmussen poll that found nearly half of black Americans deemed it “not okay to be white.”
Adams lost his career over his remarks. Numerous newspapers and distributors ceased association the cartoonist. The press labeled him a vile racist.
Scott Adams will likely never recover from the persecution he received. Dilbert‘s days in the mainstream are over.
I don’t think Scott Adams said anything worse than DiAngelo, yet his career got the nuclear option, while the old white lady that claims us white folks want to hurt black folks (we don’t) got a free pass. I don’t know who gave her permission to speak for all of us, but it wasn’t me.
Grifters like Robin DiAngelo make millions through racial division. The more racial division, the more money. Of course, she is going to advocate separating people.

Obviously, she was simply virtue signaling and race baiting. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a new book in the works, with these comments being used as sales fuel. Whatever the context, her comments were gross, inappropriate and not helpful at all if we want to get away from this clear division the left so longs for.
Yet here’s DiAngelo offering the exact same advice but in reverse. Adams says white people should stay away from black people. DiAngelo advises the inverse.
A fair-minded folk could not condemn one but not the other. But, unfortunately, the fair-minded don’t control the messaging or the outrage of the country.
Adams’ comments cost him his career. DiAngelo’s comments will elevate hers.
Pushback to DiAngelo is also non-existent. MSNBC, CNN, and the New York Times have not called for her job, demanding she atones immediately.
Likewise, her publisher wouldn’t dare sever ties over her racist commentary. In fact, her books are already littered with racist commentary about white people.
The disparate reaction to Adams and DiAngelo demonstrates the state of the race discussion in the United States.
A negative comment about black people morphs into career suicide, while years of negative pronouncements about white people morphs into great financial gain.
People like DiAngelo will eventually get their comeuppance. People are getting wise to the hypocrisy, race baiting, and virtue signaling. Don’t believe me? Have you seen CNN’s ratings lately?
It is only a matter of time, but until then, I certainly hope black folks don’t think white folks are out to hurt them. Since DiAngelo chose to speak for an entire race, I will correct her on behalf of the vast majority that don’t care about race. We just want to live our lives without clowns like Robin DiAngelo stoking division. Thanks,
