Sen. Josh Hawley, a Missouri Republican, is now calling on Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray, along with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, to open up a federal hate crime investigation into the shooting at a Nashville Christian school on Monday, which was perpetrated by a transgender individual. And I’d say that a hate crime is likely what this is, given the choice of target and the fact there was a manifesto left behind by the now deceased suspect.
“Police say a 28-year-old woman who identified as a transgender man killed three 9-year-old children and three adults at The Covenant School, which is associated with the conservative evangelical Covenant Presbyterian Church. Authorities revealed that the shooter, whom The Daily Wire will not name in accordance with company policy, executed a “targeted attack” and left behind a ‘manifesto,'” the Daily Wire reported.
Hawley then stated that the nature of the incident might indicate there was a specific desire to hurt Christians.
“Yesterday the nation witnessed the vicious murder of small schoolchildren in Nashville, Tennessee,” he went on to say in a letter addressed to senior Biden administration officials. “It is commonplace to call such horrors ‘senseless violence.’ But properly speaking, that is false. Police report that the attack here was ‘targeted’ — targeted, that is, against Christians.”
The Missouri Republican then added that federal law criminalizes any act of violence that is based on perceived or actual “religion.” Detectives with local police departments have said they believe the shooter had “some resentment” for having to attend the school as a child. Which is an unbelievably stupid reason for wanting to harm other children who have nothing to do with your own situation. This is why transgenderism should clearly be labeled a mental illness and treated as such rather than encouraged.
“I urge you to immediately open an investigation into this shooting as a federal hate crime,” Hawley said later. “The full resources of the federal government must be brought to bear to determine how this crime occurred, and who may have influenced the deranged shooter to carry out these horrific crimes. Hate that leads to violence must be condemned. And hate crimes must be prosecuted.”
The shooter carried out this evil, heinous attack the same week that Trans Radical Activist Network sent out a call for a “day of vengeance.” Could that be a coincidence? Perhaps, but what are the chances? It seems to me that someone unhinged heard the message loud and clear, regardless of original intended meaning, and decided to give in to the violence swirling around the dark edges of their soul. A case can definitely be made for holding TRAN responsible for their rhetoric. Isn’t that the same thing the left has done with former President Donald Trump and the Jan. 6 riot?
“The students killed in the shooting were identified as Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all 9 years old. Dr. Katherine Koonce, the school’s 60-year-old principal, was also killed, as were 61-year-old staffers Cynthia Peak and Mike Hill,” the Daily Wire report said.
Hallie Scruggs was the daughter of the senior minister who serves at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
The left keeps telling us they are non-violent. What do you call this then? We’ve had several of these individuals who have carried out shootings and other acts of extreme violence against people and vandalism against property. It’s time for liberals to come out and be honest. They are a violent bunch. And much of the rhetoric and propaganda they push to try and get people on their side of an issue is radicalizing unstable individuals to carry out these acts.
Folks, this is only the beginning. However, do not be afraid. Stand up and speak out against the madness of this culture. Do not allow the shooter and other violent radical leftists silence you through fear. That’s exactly what they want.
